Off for a four day trip........wave

RE: Confession

"Natural disasters and terrorism are being blamed on gays, abortionists and who knows who else. That's destructive thinking prohibiting progress and problem solving".

I would like to debate this issue with you and take you up on a few unconnected and irrational statements such as the one above.

But my dog Paddy has gone walkabout and on top of that, I have a nine hour drive tomorrow to be in Court for a Client. Perhaps we can come back to it on my return.

That rascal Paddy always seems to sense that I'm off somewhere, when he does his disappearing act!.........

RE: Confession

thumbs up Well argued and well put, in the scientific sense.

And yet, emotionally, I disagree; I think the subject demands a more sympathetic approach.

RE: How do you know when to really trust someone?

Correct...just an e-mail address....sadly missing in your case, after all of our internal mails....devil grin

RE: How do you know when to really trust someone?

'An just one more, 'cos I have a guest here for 3 days and won't be posting until Sunday night.

Look for what I call acid and acerbic posts or answers to threads.

Everyone is entitled to defend themselves on a public forum against unreasonable criticism and of course, you should stand up and be counted.

But, look at their other posts, are they for the most part designed to cause hurt and distress? Are they self obsessed and arrogant?

Do their posts or thread answers show a kind and caring nature? This is a crucial pointer which may save you from some of the problems you describe.

All of the above, is on the assumption that you are looking for marriage or long-term relationship with a realistic chance of success.

Otherwise, just have fun.

RE: How do you know when to really trust someone?

I have x-ray eyes..........wink rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: How do you know when to really trust someone?

I could give you a list as long as your arm.

But, number one is: Ask for a mail address following the exchange of a few mails on here, then ask for further personal dated photos, then ask for pics of where they live and go from there.

Oh! Number two, speak to them, yes, speak to them on MSN or Skype. Amazing, just how revealing this can be.

My 2 bits.

Paddy's quote of the week. The predictabie outcome of marriage perhaps.

Oh! How true...and still.... that's no answer, pretence, can be maintained, until you have signed on the dotted line!

RE: Am I to old for this site

thumbs up

RE: Am I to old for this site

Typo should read: done its job.

RE: Am I to old for this site

The very fact that you have chosen to start a thread on the subject, is demeaning and self deprecating, don't even think of entering that mindset.

That old chestnut of "you're as old as you feel", was never more appropriate as in your own case.

If nothing else, CS is source of interesting information and a means of communication, for people who spend more time than they should, on their own.

In this regard, the facts speak for themselves; look at the number of attractive young women on here who are without a partner. I find it an extraordinary example of the times we live in

I hope you will find a partner on here, with 1000's of members on line at any one time, it’s the numbers game. Keep your chin up and keep trying.

Whilst my initial paragraph might at first, seem harsh, it’s not meant be, just simply realistic and frank as your thread demands. If it shakes you out of your apparent complacency, it’s done it’ job.

RE: Wives vs. Girlfriends

and not up yet!

Now why does that surprise me?......rolling on the floor laughing devil

RE: Wives vs. Girlfriends

Ditto above:

Teacher's comment: Shows promise, come to the staff room after lessons, for extra curricular activities... wink

RE: Wives vs. Girlfriends

I should have numbered those numerically.

Did you tick all the right boxes in the right places? God knows!

I'm easily confused and like most men, can't multitask.

Teacher's comment: Not bad for a first effort, Tina...
thumbs up wink
