The Big Bang Theory.....is wrong

Thanks wave

The Big Bang Theory.....is wrong

In a sense yes but more specifically light from a distant galaxy.

The Big Bang Theory.....is wrong

My conclusion is that light speed is not finite but loses energy over great distances and time as it travels through the universe. I even sited a mechanism, gravity, which has been proven to effect a beam of light as the impeding force. The big bang theory is under attack from scores of cosmologists and I predict that one day this theory will be thrown out with the garbage.

The Big Bang Theory.....is wrong

Totally incorrect!

The Big Bang Theory.....is wrong

Too deep for ya? BTW I work for myself.

The Big Bang Theory.....is wrong

If a theory is based on a supposed fact and that fact is based on another fact, and yet another fact going all the way back to the most obvious assumption, one which is so obvious that nobody would even think to question it. And if it is discovered that the original assumption was wrong, the entire theory can and must be thrown out. For 1000's of years it was "known" that the sun, moon and all the stars circled the earth. All you had to do was look up and see the sun rise in the east and set in the west. Nobody would question anything that was so blatantly obvious would they? The earth was the center of the universe and everybody knew it. That is until Galileo, using an idea gleaned from Hans Lippershey of the Netherlands, built a telescope with which he saw 4 moons in orbit around Jupiter, proving beyond question that the sun was the center of the universe. Of course we know today that is not correct. The sun is merely the center of our solar system.

Evidence to support a slower speed of light:

It is believed by the vast majority of cosmologists that the gravitational force of a black hole (which of course is not a hole at all) is so powerful that light cannot achieve escape velocity which is why it's black because no light can escape from it. if light is generated on the surface of a black hole, it must achieve escape velocity perpendicular to the surface of the body but is immediately pulled down to the surface.I can easily imagine a shell of intense light just above the surface of a black hole if you could ever get close enough to see it, which is not possible. That intense gravity can affect light whether it is photons or waves is further proven by the fact that light passing close to a massive star is pulled into a different direction. The conclusion: Gravity has a measurable effect on light. If intense gravity can stop light, surely it can slow it down because you cant get from 186,000 miles per second (the speed of light) to zero without going through every speed in between. Drive a car at 100 MPH and stand on the brakes. In order for the car to get to 0 it has to go to 99 then 98 then 97 etc. It's not possible to go from 100 to 0 in no time.

We don't have the ability to measure the speed of light over a billion years or a billion light years distance and we probably never will. Is it possible that the light emanating from a distant galaxy is acted upon by the gravitational pull of the very galaxy it came from? Could this be the mechanism by which the light looses energy and slows down the longer it's forward motion is acted upon? Is it possible that the light loses energy over billions of years or is the energy of the light sapped by traveling through the matrix of gravity which permeates space?

The Big Bang Theory.....is wrong

The BBT states in the simplest of terms, that the universe was created in an instant when a pile of all that existed consisting of one huge mass, exploded and sent particles flying out in all directions. The BBT replaced the Steady State Theory, SST, which held that the universe is evolving and has been forever. Scientists have difficulty with words like "forever" so they had to come up with something they could measure and quantify. However the BBT is seriously flawed.

The BBT counters the "biblical" account of the creation of the universe. I find this to be a fairy tale at best. Part of a deliberate, and very successful attempt to instill fear and obedience in the minds of the population that a supreme being or force exists which must be worshiped, obeyed, and supported financially with contributions, tax breaks etc, through its human representatives (Priests, Imams, Witch doctors, popes etc).

Evidence FOR the BBT, is the very popular and simplistic "Doppler Effect" which BBT advocates contend "proves" that galaxies are flying away from each other at an "accelerating" rate. This evidence can be observed by the fact that light from distant galaxies is shifted toward the red (slower) end of the visible light spectrum, this is known as the "Red Shift". The ASSUMPTION is made that as the speed of light is finite (another assumption which Einstein, the messiah, has decreed) means that the light source MUST be moving away from us. Using computers and complex mathematical formulas they have run the "film" backward so to speak and can predict with certainty that this explosion occurred about 15 Billion years ago. All BBT discussions begin within a few nanoseconds after the ignition of this explosion. Nobody cares to speculate what was before this explosion or what triggered the explosion or where all this "Stuff" came from in the first place as though it is irrelevant or beyond human comprehension.
There are several aspects of the BBT that just don't hold water.

Flaw #1 Acceleration:

By definition the birth of the known universe according to the BBT was an explosion. During an explosion the substance of the explosion is propelled by whatever driving force is manifested to expand in a spherical shape. Once the propelling force is exhausted there is nothing left to cause it to accelerate further, therefore, the substance continues traveling at a constant speed unless acted upon by another force either to impede its movement, change it's direction or accelerate it. Scientists have found no hard evidence of any force in the universe that could account for this acceleration beyond some fancy mathematical theory or inventing a form of energy which they dubbed "Phantom Energy" renamed "Dark Energy" because Phantom Energy sounded too much like Alice in Wonderland.
The counter to this is that light speed is not constant and therefore it's possible that the light from said galaxy is actually traveling "slower" than what is believed to be the finite speed of light. The observed phenomenon that the farther away a galaxy is, the faster it is receding from us can be explained equally well by a slower speed of light with a greater passage of time and/or distance.

RE: I'd just like to say a huge Sorry

What is he talking about?dunno

RE: hi ladies would you date a guy that smoked.

I'm surprised nobody said the obvious by now.
Why not quit smoking?

Think of how many more women you could date as a non-smoker. Not to mention the real savings of never again having to give your hard earned money to someone for a product which is slowly killing you.

RE: For the straight guys: if he's into you he'll ask you out no matter how shy he is:

Fear of rejection pure & simple. Also I'm assuming you were a very good looking woman going by how good you look now. Guys are often intimidated by a beautiful woman, they think they don't have a chance, so rather than get led on or disappointed they just keep their desires inside, it's a lot safer that way.

RE: do any of you agree that share-holders should be able to vote on executives salaries and bonuses

Good question.

Companies have BOD's (Board of Director)'s that set executive compensations. The basic idea is to be generous enough to attract and keep talent. The problem is that many BOD's are only in it for the money and prestige themselves. They are almost always members of BOD's of other companies. If 1 company goes backrupt it's a case of "Oh well" "It was nice while it lasted" "The other 4 boards I'm on are still grossly over paying me for doing nothing."

If executive compensation was solely in the hands of shareholders the fear is that they would be so stingey that no talented CEO would go near the company. On the other hand, I believe that shareholders should have a louder voice in how much the top people are paid especially where it comes to severence pkgs. Also it should be based 90% on merit and not tenure or how long they've been there.

RE: Do you believe in 'Original Sin'

I don't even believe in sin, why should I believe in original sin?
This is one of the reasons I rejected religion, god, the church, and anything connected with it. If you take the literal meaning of original sin ie all babies are born as sinners and combine it with another assertion that god created man in his own image, it follows that god is a sinner. How can a sinner tell anyone else not to sin? Just another hypocracy of the church.

RE: Yer all miles off!!

I was truly amazed that a lot of people complained about his rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, they said it was a disgrace and he should be whipped for defiling the National Anthem that way. What they didn't understand was, he was using his instrument to add realism to the song with sound effects mimicking rockets and exploding shells. To me it was one of the best renditions ever produced.

RE: Yer all miles off!!

You'll be very sorry when you get older and you have a hissing sound in your ears that will never go away and when your grand child says I love you, you'll say, WHAT? WHAT DID YOU SAY? I CAN'T HEAR YOU!

Fifty Years of Math 1959 - 2009 (in the USA )

Last week I purchased a hamburger at Burger King for $1.58. The counter girl took my $2 and I was digging for my change when I pulled 8 cents from my pocket and gave it to her. She stood there, holding the nickel and 3 pennies, while looking at the screen on her register. I sensed her discomfort and tried to tell her to just give me two quarters, but she hailed the manager for help. While he tried to explain the transaction to her, she stood there and cried. Why do I tell you this? Because of the evolution in teaching math since the 1950s:

1. Teaching Math In 1950s
A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price. What is his profit?

2. Teaching Math In 1960s
A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price, or $80. What is his profit?

3. Teaching Math In 1970s
A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80. Did he make a profit?

4. Teaching Math In 1980s
A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80 and his profit is $20. Your assignment: Underline the number 20.

5. Teaching Math In 1990s
A logger cuts down a beautiful forest because he is selfish and inconsiderate and cares nothing for the habitat of animals or the preservation of our woodlands. He does this so he can make a profit of $20. What do you think of this way of making a living? Topic for class participation after answering the question: How did the birds and squirrels feel as the logger cut down their homes? (There are no wrong answers, and if you feel like crying, it's ok.)

6. Teaching Math In 2009
Un hachero vende una carretada de maderapara $100. El costo de la producciones es $80. Cuanto dinero ha hecho?

RE: Do you remeber a funny story from your childhood?

Claudya that was a great story especially the way you told it.applause

Well, I don't remember this at all because I was only 4 years old but my mother use to tell this story 100 times to everybody so I believe it really happened.
One day my mother had a married couple come over to visit named Miriam and George. They were all sitting on the couch and I was playing on the floor in front of them. Miriam was complaining about something to George about something he did and it went on and on and on til I couldn't stand it anymore so I stood up turned around to face them, put my hands on my hips and told Miriam to SHUT UP!
Goerge got up, picked me up and gave me a big hug and said "Yeah listen to him he's a better man that I am." My mother couldn't stop laughing. Even Miriam gave me a hug.

RE: Don't Buy it

When I was in the 3rd or 4th grade everybody in the class was required to open a savings account. The school made a deal with a local bank to waive all restrictions on these accounts such as initial opening deposit, you could open an account with as little as a dime. The account payed 2% interest. I'm sure the bank lost money on it but I'm just as sure they made some lifelong customers.
It's like the old addage: "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day, Teach him to fish, and you feed him for life."

RE: Chiness Furure

grin I knew you'd love it. There's quite a bit of a story behind that film also. Knowing you, you'll track it down. thumbs up

RE: Don't Buy it

I have only one word to say.

DUH!

I think the problem is people don't make the effort to teach their kids how to manage money. The biggist mistake IMO is giving a kid an allowance. I don't know where this concept originated but it sure doesn't make any sense. It sends all the wrong signals and does nothing to educate kids to the fact that in this world "there is no free lunch"
Oh and spare me the arguments folks, I've heard it all before.

RE: Chiness Furure

My connection isn't fast enough to watch a full length movie online I bought the tape through Amazon.

This is one movie you wont soon forget.

RE: Chiness Furure

It makes the case for communism (little "c") where in times of strife people band togethe to help each other by excericising their special skills for the good of the group ie don't expect the mason to do a good job building a wood frame house while having the carpenter attempt to construct a stone wall.
Their crops fail from lack of rain but there's a river a mile away but only when the entire group works together including women and children are they able to dig an irrigation ditch to bring water from the river to their corn field.
I know you would really love this movie.

RE: Chiness Furure

Trish, have you ever seen the movie "Our daily bread"?

RE: Think before you ink!

I belong to an automotive site that has a forum and they allow the poster 30 minutes to edit their post. I find that I often go back into a post I just entered and edit it with either spelling corrections or additions that just came to mind after reading what I just wrote. It also gives one a 2nd chance to reconsider if they really want to say something that might offend someone. I think the ability to edit your post would make this forum a lot more civil and possible easier to read.

RE: Hi friends my polls making u people crazy ?

Why not just post a thread? Why do you have to have a poll? Many people just vote in a poll with no discussion. Once they vote, they probably never open the poll again. Engage people in a discussion instead of asking them to vote, that's my advice.

RE: Hunter & Prey Instinct

oops, I thought this was about deer hunting, not dear hunting.confused

RE: Why the next President of the USA should be a woman?

We already had a president on PMS. His name was Harry Truman.laugh

For the record I'd vote for him if he was alive and running.

RE: I Can't Find Out Who The Author Is Of This Poem

Awesome poem. thumbs up

RE: Why the next President of the USA should be a woman?

Man here!wave
I voted for Hillary in the primaries not because she was a woman or because Obama is half black but because I remember the way Bill Clinton handled the economy and there was no doubt in my mind that he would have been a tremendous ally to Hillary. If there's a man alive who can manage the economy better than Bill Clinton I haven't come across him yet. If you remember the 90's you know how economically powerful America was. Yes he pulled out of Somolia very quickly which IMO was smart. If Bush was president at the time he would have stayed and blown out our military and our treasure the same way he did in Iraq. Some people don't know when to back out of a losing game. You can win every battle and still lose the war.

What SO many people don't understand about economics is that when you are buried in debt you can't move forward & grow. Bill Clinton knew this which is why he did the things he did, raise taxes on the wealthy, shut down useless duplicate military bases where the oficers were perfecting their golf game, and balance the budget. This resulted in eliminated having to pay billions of dollars servicing the national debt. In fact we started MAKING money in interest. A country cannot be strong militarily when it is weak economically.
Today we are weak economically and militarily thanks to the reckless decisions made by George Bush. We owe so much to China it's a wonder why they haven't just come here and took possesion of our country. Stay tuned it may happen yet.

RE: BEWARE THE FOOD POLICE!

HL, you may have been had! I was roped into believing this also but after doing some drilling down into the facts I realize this is probably yet another tinfoil hat conspiracy theory.
