Stop trying to sugar coat this by saying it's just a moment of silence. This is a fine example of the insidious nature of "people of faith" to try to disguise their true intention to force every free thinking person to their belief system.
Those people who went to China with 300 bibles are another example. What was their intention concerning these bibles? Do you think they were just bringing them to read on the plane? Of course not, they intended to distribute them. It was their "mission" hence the term "missionaries". Save the sinners so they can give us money so we don't have to earn it by the sweat of OUR brows, better the sweat should come from THEIR brows.
I think the basic idea is to make the wealthy people pay more taxes and give the middle class a break because the rich don't carry the heavy loads, all they do is live in luxury whereas it's the middle class who grow the food, make the tools, keep the wheels of the country turning, create the jobs.
Thanks Jan, you've added evidence to my theory. You said "I loathed my first and many subsequent cigarettes" "neither of my parents, or grandparents ever smoked". These 2 statements actually support my theory. You were born without nicotine receptors in your brain. Hence, you didn't enjoy your first cigarette. In your case I'm confident you made a conscious effort to get over the unpleastries of smoking and eventually you were successful. I think for you it was most likely peer pressure which was driving you. With continuing use, nicotine receptors are created which you now have and if I'm correct you will pass them on to your offspring. Again this is just MY theory and it may be totally wrong but I think it has at least some merit worth looking into.
Oh come on thats easy. You bring them to the US, Give them a legal aid lawyer, present the eveidence to a jury, if they are found guilty you put them in federal prison for however long their crime dictates, if they are found not guilty you take them to New York City, give them a job driving a cab and bingo, problem solved. They would probably be very happy I hear the tips are pretty good. You think this is a joke don't you? Do you think these people want to go back to Iraq, or Afganistan? Besides what harm can they do in this country? It's not like they can go to Walmart and buy high explosives and if they screw up again we have grounds to lock them up for life....Legally. I think our police are well equipped to deal with these guys. We could even surgically implant a tracking RFID device on them that can't be removed except by a surgeon but I know that may seem extreme.

I reported this decision by the Democratic party to shut down lobbyists way back in June but few took it seriously. They said it was campaign posturing. Well, now you have the proof, and it didn't take long to institute. 1000's of lobbyists will have to go out and get real jobs.
I would like to compliment those people who speak a language other than English as their primary language. They have mastered the English language well enough to post in these threads and be well understood. That is way more than I can do. If I had to write in any language other than English I would be hopelessly lost. In other words, they speak English 1000 times better than I speak their native language. Bi-lingual people really impress me.
BTW, the "sport" of "Drifting" should be outlawed in every country on earth as an environmental nightmare.

This criticism is aimed at those whose primary language is English.
I have seen a large number of profiles, thread titles and posts which were so badly written, that it makes me wonder how people can get by in this world advertising their lack of education every time they put pencil to paper. I know this has been mentioned many times, but it doesn't seem to induce people to make a little effort to make a better impression when exposing their writing skills to the public, especially when seeking a mate. I can well imagine people being turned down for a job because the interviewer got disgusted reading halfway through their job application. If you look at an example of attrocious writing, say in a profile, with consistantly misspelled words like "ment" instead of "meant" or "i" instead of "I" or sentences beginning with a lower case letter, or no spaces between sentences. Then you look at their specs and see HS or "some college" you have to wonder how the Hell did they ever get through HS?
