I have been to meets in Glasgow and Sorrento which were great and of course a few in Dublin which are always great fun.We have one every other month or so here and they are a always well attended, just look at event pics to see how much fun we have.

I posted in response to the OP and in the knowledge that we all come from different backgrounds and have different opinions. I have no problem listening to others posting their opinions and hope that they will also allow me mine.
Just had a look at you profile and to be honest I think you are to young to be thinking of taking this step. At the moment you may feel you dont wish to have more children but you may feel differently in 5 or 10 years time.
If you knew a co-worker and friend was going to lose their job, would you give them a heads up or keep quiet?
My employment was terminated several years ago from a job I had held for 20 yrs. All of my co-workers (and I thought my friends)knew I was to be fired but no one told me even knowing that as the sole bread winner that I would likely lose my home.

I would think you are ideally placed to decide this since you have been on the receiving end yourself.
I say the thread last night and was appalled at the OP's unessesary attack, I did post on it to the OP but he was uninterested in anyones opinion but his own.
Do not take it to heart it was an obvious attempt by a bigot to cause hurt and has no basis in fact.
