There are few things that should be clarified here... What a "fancy" date means? Is his financial situation permanently in the low or just a little temporary struggle...? Romance is romance but I wouldn't like to drag someone along, financially, as I won't allow anyone drag me... Money isn't a dirty word... We should stop pretending we can live on bread and tap water... I'd rather not hear this (financial) reason for inviting me on a romantic dinner in his back yard... Because I wouldn't like to date someone who complains about his finances on a first date...
