Just woke my kid to tell him to go back to sleep as school was cancelled this morning due to "impending snow storm". When I was a kid, the schools didn't close for a storm warning - lucky if they closed when it was a blizzard conditions outside.

Pedro, my honey If wishing and wanting and posting and spilling your heart out was the way to get a woman to notice you, you'd have a harem by now. It's all well and good but you also have to go outside, let the wind blow the stink off you and talk to real live people. Go to your local shelter and see if a dog needs to be walked. Take him/her to the park and mingle with the dog owners there. You'll look really cute because you took the time to care about a dog that isn't your own. Like to read? Go to the library. Great place to say "hi", get noticed but without too much pressure. Saying you need to get this in order or that fixed or whatever is called procrastinating. If the same old song and dance is being played over and over, you'll lose anyone who is concerned about you because you really don't want to help yourself. I would love to hear that you've given your number to a lady or had a small chat with a lady. Even better would be that you've made a date with a lady. I'll be dancing for you if that happens but you have to get out there.
My dad was stone cold tone deaf but he could always manage to whistle (and I don't know if this is the right name or not) "76 Trombones (led the big parade)". I'll find myself, sometimes, humming the song, my brother whistles it as well.
I would love to see a balanced budget instead of the hundreds of millions in debt that we are right now. Vaccination goes without saying but we need a better/faster way of diagnosing, finding treatments and getting it out. One thing I will probably never see is the headline " Everybody go home. War is now over." Too many egos, greed and lack of compassion. There IS enough to sustain us all if greedy hands were taken out of it.
I do that's why I don't mind being alone or single. It would be nice to have a buddy to do things with or to grow closer to but if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen.
I know the feeling!!! I'm sure there are some guys who could say the same thing about women but..... what you are saying is so true. I'm independent, I can pay for what I want when I want it, I'm a positive person, I'm caring, I'll even cook........ Just don't give me a load of BS and expect that I'll nod and that will be it.
From my dealings, they are very polite. They are appreciative of what you do for them and if they are RAF and happen to land because of a miscalculation of fuel, they can disable a Herc in no time.

I usually get a computer generated voice recording telling me that Revenue Canada has noticed that I have some suspicious activity against the SIN number. Please pick up the phone now or the local police department will be coming to arrest me for fraudulent claims. I left a message saying I'll be out on the front porch, having a coffee and waiting for them. I'll have a local cop with me as well...... I don't get the calls anymore.
