Have to admit, Ali...... not a mango did I find, not even a hint of one or two. Was sorely disappointed and now I may never visit your profile again.....
I use these as well with the mason jars but the inner lids have a raised circle in the center. I will use a hot water bath, completely covering the bottles with water, and boil for about 15-20 mins. When the bottles are removed and allowed to air cool, the "popping" is the vacuum seal pulling the raised circle flat - indicating a seal. You can tell just by looking at the lids if a bottle has sealed or not.
Either something like a rottie or pitbull so that no one will mess with me or the other end of the spectrum- a toy breed of some kind so that my every wish is taken care of.
But with either breed, I'd prefer to be the mutt version of that I could adopt. Pure breeds, while gorgeous, aren't worth the problems "down the road" and let's not forget the breeding business.

I believe I saw some of that in the grocery store a few days ago. Actually it's placed with the other yeasts. Can you use it in doughs to make it rise or is it a topping only?

I would just like to point out that the Peace Memorial noted is not located in Gander. It is located in the town of Appleton, about 26kms West of Gander. In 2001, the town had a population of approximately 600-700 ppl. The 9/11 organizations, in recent years, have sent 2 pieces of the WTC to Central Newfoundland - 1 for Gander, 1 for Appleton. Today, there was a service in Appleton to always remember.
Nope. If you get a gut instinct that someone or something isn't right, that instinct stays with you regardless of time, place or circumstance. You can try to gloss it over with some excuse but your gut knows and will prove to be true in the long run.
