Constant bombardment by marketing companies trying to sell their product or service.
Whether it be electricity, or even credit a card machine, these pushy salespeople can’t take no for an answer , even if you tell them you are tied down to an existing contract.
There are still places where it’s safe for women & children to play & walk the streets & where pensioners are a respected part of family life & valued. Unfortunately it ain’t in this part of the world .
FYI . I am & have always been a taxpayer. As far as furlough is concerned, I never got a penny from the state . The business was launched after March of 2020 , so I wasn’t entitled. Keep going though ..
I didn’t say it was a disadvantage.. I was just answering lee’s comment about how over sensitive people have become & how the British people have to be careful with words when addressing other races .
I won’t say it because it’s deemed as a offensive to black people , just as some childrens nursery rhymes have been banned because they contain the word black .
My point is , if the N word is offensive to blacks , why do they use it to describe other blacks . Surely if was that offensive, then they shouldn’t use it themselves.
It’s the liberals of this world that create these problems . If black people are offended by the N word , why would they use it when referring to other black people, or use it in rap music ?
I was just giving an example of how modern technology has made people lazier. No , we don’t deliver because I feel that delivery companies are a rip off & people are willing to pay an extra 30% on their meal to be delivered, rather than walking , or driving a few mins. to collect their food .
It depends on the race . If you were to order off a menu in an Italian restaurant, with an Italian accent , I don’t think the waiter would be take offence, whereas if it were a Chinese, or Afro Caribbean restaurant and you order to the waiter using their pronunciation, they would take offence . But I agree , people have become over sensitive.
It’s not just human rights . The internet is taking over our brains & original thoughts, making us lazier & ineffective, both in life & the workplace . It also affects our physical & mental state & although it’s difficult to ignore , striking a fine balance between online & offline may be the way to go .
