RE: Would you move to another country for love????....

thumbs up Exactly. I have lived in Denmark, Spain, Mexico and Paraguay and either learned the language or spoke it already. It sounds very romantic bu it is extremely difficult. I also agree that I wouldn't live where I couldn't work. So no, I don't think I'd move especially at this point in my life. I'd have to import someone I guess. dunno

RE: Remember this guy?...

The questions you ask show you have no grasp of American politics. You are woefully ignorant and uninformed.

RE: Remember this guy?...

We are bombarded on a daily basis, all the television and cable channels all the national and local newspapers with footage of both candidates. Outside the US you get a tiny fraction of often skewed news so I don't think you have sufficient information to make a judgement. You are fully entitled to your opinions but they are just that. There is a difference between opinions based on substantial evidence and opinions based on feelings. Many of us have not forgotten Obama's 20 year association with Rev. Wright, Jesse Jackson, Farrakhan etc. and Mrs. Obama's comment about not being proud of being American. These things lead us to question his committment and fitness to lead. There is nothing crazy about it.

RE: So How Is Patient's !!

He does live very close to you but I'm not telling or you'll steal him from me. scold hug

RE: Remember this guy?...

Thank you Dru. I'm a Gemini so I always rely either on my own experience or research or a combo of both. laugh I try not to use my emotions to form opinions (although with a Cancer moon and Pisces ascendant I do use my intuition.) The ironic twist is that since my brother grew up in pre-politically correct times he was dealt with very strictly (to put it mildly) by the family and his schools and other programs he took part in and as a result he's a different person from the wild uncommunicative little boy he began as. He's doing very well. I don't see this same progress nowadays with the political correctness in schools-everyone's afraid to discipline them. The ironic thing is that as a result these children are often out of control and will end up being big and strong and out of control and will have to be drugged up again. It's like we've come full circle. sigh
Love your pic btw!smile

RE: So How Is Patient's !!

Yes I think he is. It's funny how something is right in front of you for so long and you don't see it.

RE: So How Is Patient's !!

Yeah, but when it finally does work it's amazing. wave

RE: So How Is Patient's !!

I think it does take a while. There's someone I met on here who left the site and we've been writing and I like him but he lives in BC so I'm not sure how it will turn out. I had a doctor's appt. today that I was really worried about and he's written to me every day to keep my spirits up. I realized last night what an amazing person he is. I'm willing to wait for however long it takes to see if it works. heart wings

RE: Why I am not a Christian (Bertrand Russel)

thumbs up

RE: Obama for President.........Decency became a Tsunami!

Are you serious? I admire all she has achieved in a short time, especially not having come from a privileged background. She has worked hard and achieved so much. All my friends feel the same way so I don't know who you've spoken to but you're way off base.

RE: Engagement Ring Advice...

Oh, missed that. barf Wonder why he posted?dunno

RE: Engagement Ring Advice...

Ask her. Platinum is prettier and withstands scratches but bends even more easily than silver-its very soft. I'd go with white gold.

RE: Answer this thread pls!

Yeah...he was doing it for you, right...so that others wouldn't talk about your size. Hmmph.

There was a guy that I was considering dating, I had really started to like him a lot...until he told me about dating a Samoan woman once who had followed her tribal traditions and had tattoos on her face. So, because of those, when they went out in public he would make her wait somewhere off to the side for him. He admits he was embarrassed to be seen with her in public. I still talk to him when I see him...but I have no desire to go out with him at all after learning that about him. It showed an ugliness inside that I don't want around me. (I only still talk to him because we belong to the same private club, and it would be considered odd and start rumors if I suddenly didn't talk to him.)

This reminded me of an experience I had of dating a man of another race. Everything was fine-he was a great guy until he told me that he never dated women of his own race and gave me some really stereotypical reasons (complete b.s. but more like socioeconomic differences than racial ones.) That really bothered me a lot because I've had men from my own background tell me the same thing about me so it hit a very raw nerve and I stopped seeing him. I think rejection often stems from a person's own insecurity and their attempts make themselves feel better by being with someone they perceive as more attractive or "better" than themselves.

RE: Answer this thread pls!

To a different man you will be arm candy. wine Different strokes for different folks! Thank God we aren't all attracted to the same people or it would be even worse out there than it already is. crying wave

RE: Answer this thread pls!

D

Do you really need an answer to that, sweetie? If you thought it was right then you wouldn't be posting here. Always follow your intution. What happens if you have a medical condition that causes you some day to gain weight? Will he leave you? I had a thin friend who got adrenal cancer and gained 200 lbs. He later lost it but sometimes things are beyond control.

RE: Gun Control

I taught 16 years in the inner city of Los Angeles, the gang capital of the world, and I can tell you the problems are so deep and so entrenched and far-reaching (drugs, domestic violence, absent parents, medical problems/illness, poverty, lack of extended family etc. etc.) that there is no simple answer to the gang problem. I've seen all kinds of things thrown at the problem-education, money, after-school and sports programs, parent education and outreach, scholarships etc. etc. and I've never seen anything come near having any sort of difference. It is extremely complex. Weapons are only the tip of the iceberg. sigh

RE: Gun Control

Are you allowed to carry concealed in PA? We aren't here. That's something else that needs to be changed. BTW kudos on being an instructor. thumbs up

RE: Gun Control

thumbs up Excellent post. Great book.

RE: sweet nothings.........

I don't yell at them for a whole hour or so. rolling on the floor laughing Sorry, couldn't resist!!
wave Trish!hug

RE: can someong answer a few bible q's for me ??

Well, as a "softspoken gentle feminine woman" you sure are nasty. Me judgemental? I have no dog in this hunt. My beliefs and practices lie somewhere in the middle of all stated views and having grown up a member of a religious minority in a Christian country I certainly understand tolerance. Passive-aggressiveness is unattractive in softspoken feminine women my dear.

RE: has anybody ever woken up next to werewolf ? frankenstein ? count dracula ?

No but there's still time. I haven't slept with you yet. rolling on the floor laughing
