I got excited, I thought you were FROM Julian I haven't been there for a long long time. I don't think there's many local ppl on here. I think it takes time to make friends.
I have an old expungement on my record which I think comes up on the DOD background check which I get because I'm a teacher (they don't use the state records they use federal) so I always have to get a copy from the court and bring it with me when I change jobs. I've never had a problem after showing it.
The thing with juries is that they are notoriously unreliable. I wouldn't want to chance it. Why not get your own background check and take it to the company?
Why would you want to work for such a stupid company? Having spent most of my career in the public sector I'd run the other way and be grateful you know ahead of time what they're like.
Life is too short to suffer needlessly. If it bothers you and is uncomfortable then get it done. You're the one who has to live in/with your body. I think the psychological aspect is as important (or more so) than the physical one.
Ouch, I didn't realize. Yes, it causes major back problems-the sheer weight of it causes you to lean forward its tiring to sit/stand up straight. If you put 4 apples in two bags at the market and hang them around your neck you can get an idea of the weight.
There are websites where women discuss this endlessly. Since you are so interested I will give you the scientific explanation ( ) there is body fat and breast tissue. Both are heavy. Some women are just lucky that way in having more breast tissue than others-no matter how thin they are they still have it. Some tissue is denser than others hence breasts feeling different on different women. Even when I weighed 107lbs I was still huge on top. So I did something about it. I think if there is something that either interferes with physical functioning or makes someone so crippled by self-consciousness then they should do something about it. I had a very tall thin friend who survived adrenal cancer. At one point due to the illness he went from 170lbs to over 300lbs. He later lost the weight but had huge amounts of extra skin. He was very self-conscious about it and it reminded him of the cancer. He wanted surgery to correct it. I think on the other hand if your self-image is poor and you want to correct imaginary flaws then you have a problem...
That's very very wise. It just occured to me this afternoon, the same thing, all my life and I never realized that it is a form of control. When someone makes outright or even barbed/sort of hidden snarky comments s/he is trying to get you to respond and/or get angry then s/he is in control. It's really ugly. Don't respond. Don't let it hurt your feelings. Ask yourself why the person needs to do this to you. It's about them, not you.
Well, I had 5lbs. removed from up top. Best thing I ever did. I couldn't breathe and my back hurt all the time. Not to mention my tops were a size 22-24 when I really wore a size 8-10. I don't think I'd do anything else but I sure am glad that I was able to get it done.
Hugz-there's a book you'd like it's called Spoken Here by Mark Abley and it's about people/cultures who have successfully revived dying/dead languages. There is one or two sections on Native American languages that was very interesting.
Poor Indy. The HotSingleDude Obama thread is over and you just don't know where to put yourself. You ARE doomed. Doomed to wandering the forums aimlessly for the next 4 years....
