First off it would never be getting married because I had to it would be because I want to, the theme would be romantic and fun , something that would be very memorable for all guests. Weding are one of those rare occations you get to celebrate life, they rank right up there with births graduations anniversaries and deaths. As for the honey moon definately Hawaii , I can't imagine a better place to honeymoon.

Marriage is a covenant between two people and god and the vows reflect that, I know what it means to have fulfilled those vows. You are meant to be married to one person , the problem today is people don't take marriage seriously and don't bother to take the time to get to know thier potential mate. Throw away relationships are what people do, what they dont understand is the seriousness of thier actions. There is nothing wrong with the vow till death do us part and anyone who thinks differently, well you really should shy away from them as a potenial mate because they don't know the word commitment.

You forgot TILL DEATH DO US PART, The vows are meant to be serious and are meant to be a covenant between you and your mate and god not to be broken by any man or woman. They are a serious matter unfortunitely in todays society, alot of marriages are throw away disposable type of relationships. I have been through the till death do you part and have fullfilled my vows as a husband, I intend to do the same for my next relationship . The vows aren't meant to be changed to reflect the times, they are meant to be sacred and held to gods order.

This country was messed up pretty good under dubbya, just goes to show you how impatient everyone is and how unrealistic some peoples expectations are. Obama can't wave a magic wand and make unemployement and the economy better in months. Look back in history at how long it took our country to climb out of the great depression, get real people.

I shouldn't have taken the poll because its unfair , not all men are terrible beings , I have now and in the past have had long distance relationships, met a sweet woman from California and we spent a week together and had a wonderful time, in the long term we just both decided it wouldn't work. I have met many people who have had long distance relationships and they have been very successful, for me I guess I would go to just about any distance if I knew I would find that one, the love of my life, my soul mate, maybe you should be open to the idea, you never know where love may come from.

Gotta be honest here, thought about having the surgery done myself however the only thing that prevents me is its fairly new considering it hasn't been around to know if theres long term effects. I only have these two eyes for my life time, prefer using glasses, my perspective right or wrong.

I am really good at Chili and I make a really good wildrice soup, another specialty, season steaks and a special Hobo Patato's on the grill as well as corn on the cob on the grill. Put together a boiled dinner one time with corned beef as the meat, for a first try I did well

I think people don't take thier vows serious enough these days and they don't take enough time to really get to know thier mates. If you see red flags about a potienal mate you shouldn't ignore them you should address them. I honestly think once you are married it is for a life time and the thought is be sure he or she is the one when you propose or except the proposal. Wow everyone great posts by all, its great to get so many different points of view on this subject, when I bartended for the Legion I paid close attention to my elderly clients relationships. Many couples with 30 to 60 years of marriage, what I saw were these couples having mutual respect for each other, doing for one another in small ways and big ways and compromise. In asking one of my customers on his 50th wedding anniversary what was the secret to thier long marriage ..he answered Yes MAAM I believe dating is simply taking a good amount of time to get to know someone. As one of the posts said don't ignore the red flags and that inner voice telling you something is wrong. That advice is sound and hopefully prevent a person from making a wrong decision. Thankyou to all who posted...godbless ps hoping my next poll is less serious and more fun.
