I'm so pleased to see such love and joy spread around the world for this remarkable couple.

The whole ceremony was absolutely beautiful and the bride looked radiant. cheering

Thanks Summer and Morgan, hope the weather holds for them .We have had fab weather here for some time but of all days it's cloudy.

I'm sure it won't spoil their day though, just hope all the people from all walks of life lining the streets of London don't get wet!

Let the celebrations begin, hope you have a great party.party danceline

RE: Royal wedding in UK

You did not Chris. In fact, i have noted that many have caled you down on this thread and you have not done same. You are certainly innocent and the attacks on you are unwarranted.

Sorry Albertghost,I think that if you had read all the comments in this overly long thread you would have seen quite a few snide remarks directed at me by the thread author.

According to him "the paramedics are on their way to give me my medication" is one example.

Sorry I am unable to cut and paste the actual comment, but I found it quite patronising and condescending.

All the way through this thread there have been constant digs at the British public and, frankly, disrespect for our way of life.

All I have ever said in reply is to defend our right as a nation to respect the tradition and heritage that this country has enjoyed for centuries and will continuue to do so.

A third of the world will be tuned in to see this wedding and hopefully will celebrate with us the marriage of our future King.To compare it to a circus is at the least disrespectful and totally uncalled for.

I appreciate your input which is totally unbiased and honest.Enjoy your day.I know I will.

RE: Royal wedding in UK

Thanks again, love them or hate them, they do things rather well when called upon to do so.

It's going to give pleasure to so many people around the world,so what can be wrong with that.dunno

RE: Royal wedding in UK

Hi albertaghost, it's like bashing your head against a brick wall trying to explain that we actually don't mind helping out in the costing of the event.

Yes there are a few in the UK who are anti Royal but in general we love the traditions and heritage that has been in our nation for centuries. It's a pity others have no respect for our traditions.handshake

RE: Royal wedding in UK

You obviously were not good at maths at school. Please take the trouble to read back rizelad's comments where it was all explained to you.

You are making yourself look a class idiot with your continued comments about costing.rolling on the floor laughing

I really fail to understand why you are wasting so much time worrying about the British economy, put your own house in order first.professor

RE: Royal wedding in UK

Well I hate to think what you'll be up toblushing

Have a great week/end all you guys. Will raise a glass to you all.wine

RE: Royal wedding in UK

Whoopeeeeeeeeeeeeee only 24 hours to wait for the one of the most spectacular weddings,a Royal one.cheering

People from all over the world are already camping out along the route, and the excitement is mounting.

A great day in the long history of tradition and heritage for the UK. The pageantry will, as usual, be fantastic.

Hope the weather holds for all those that have made the effort to travel to London.yay

Happy Birthday to you.Hope you are having a great one.lips

RE: Royal wedding in UK

Do you know what I like about this, the fact that us Brits can laugh at ourselves when the occasion arises. Saw this on TV too.laugh

RE: Royal wedding in UK

Your lessons in maths are falling on deaf ears I'm afraid. People's perception of our Royal family is so far removed from the truth as to be ridiculous.

I've given up,as I find some people on this thread quite insulting about our traditions and heritage. handshake

RE: Royal wedding in UK

My God I was right the first time. You really are a sick and twisted individual.

You are unable to debate rationally, not prepared to listen to others who also have an opinion, and continue to berate those who choose to oppose your views.

Well sorry mate I'm off to enjoy a splendid Royal wedding that will bring pleasure to many people across the world, especially with all the tragedies and wars that are still taking place.

I'm proud of my roots, proud of our traditions, and anything you spout forth about regarding the above ,will make no difference in the long run. Do I care what you think.Frankly ,my dear ,I don't give a damn. Bye Bye.

RE: Royal wedding in UK

Bloody hell I don't believe you!!!! How many times do you have to be told before you cotton on that the people of this country expect it to be public,as it's traditional. I dare say the rest of the world [present company accepted ] would be disappointed too if they were unable to see a bit of history in the making frustrated

As for the payment who cares. It only seems to be bothering you as you are making such an issue out of it.

You are in no position to TELL me anything about the way our country is run.You may have an opinion, but that's all.

As for interference into other country's politics, well I leave that to governments to sort out as they are want to do,rightly or wrongly.

You really do have a bee in your bonnet about us Brits though.

RE: Royal wedding in UK

Whoops Summer, careful what you say on here. I got hauled over the coals for telling the OP he was just that,as he is all doom and gloom about costing, and getting rid of the Monarchy as they are surplus to requirements.rolling on the floor laughing

RE: rewrite my profile.

Morning Amity, How are your suitcases this morning.having fun I hope.rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Royal wedding in UK

The question is "Why are you so bothered by these events?"

Why have you constantly wittered on about the waste of money if it, in your opinion, is of no importancedunno

As for not castigating our heritage, why do you keep insisting that we do not need the Monarchy. Not your place to tell us what we should or should not do. They are here to stay.

Having explained to you in depth that the country as a whole stands to gain financially from this wedding ,[as do many other countries who have jumped on the band wagon producing mementos, ring copying etc.] by several other members, perhaps it's time that you let go of the whole issue.

It's a day of celebration for many people ,and, I might add ,not just us Brits. People from all over the world will watch ,even if out of curiosity .

If you don't like it don't watch it.

RE: Royal wedding in UK

Again thanks for the well informed comments.Just wish people would get their facts right before spouting off.

Oh well it is the Forums after all!handshake

RE: Royal wedding in UK

My disposition is fine Buffy,as you would have seen if you had read the thread from the start.I just got rather tired of being informed about the expense and that the Monarchy should be abolished.

Stating an opinion is one thing but forcing it down people's throats is quite something else.j.m.o.

RE: Royal wedding in UK

I can't believe how you all bang on about the cost to the public of this wedding. As for being sensitive ,sorry far from the truth.

I've been around a long time sunny and not much fazes me any more, but I never understand why some people are so anti other people's way of life.

I will probably have to pay towards the bail out of Greece because of the financial mess they are in,same as Spain,Portugal and Italy. Should I complain about that and tell them all to sod off.rolling on the floor laughing
