Good living and giving up smoking 11 years ago! Don't touch alcohol either.[ I sound like a boring old fart but I can assure you I'm not. Ask my many friends.!]
Ginger is right, though I do understand how difficult it must be.
Thanks ellimere, but at the grand "young " age of 71 I'm not looking
I have a great life with family, friends, my cat and dog and my beloved garden which is now taking shape.
I am now pain free which in itself is a bonus, and with patience will be able to get back to the things I enjoy doing.
Have you got rheumatoid or osteo?Think at your age it might be the former as I have a friend who had that as a teenager.Didn't stop her though. She was told not to have children, but defied the odds and has a beautiful daughter. All done with courage and determination.
I've just had a new hip due to the dreaded arthritis, but then I am a lot older than you.
Unless you suffer with it no-one can know just how painful this debilitating disease is.
As for relationships and illness,I would always think that honesty would be the best policy personally. If someone leaves you because of your condition, then you wouldn't want to be with them anyway.
Caring and compassion should be high on anyone's list of what you would want in any relationship,as none of us know what's round the corner in life as we get older.
Since my op. I wake really early [5:30 sometimes] and I think it's an age thing in my case too. 40 winks at any time are good for you, so don't feel guilty.
Hi cleo,I'm actually not looking which is quite clear on my profile, but recently I have been inundated with mail from guys in their 30's to 40's.Some I have received are different guys with the same US army photo. What the hell's that all about.
At one time I used to reply with a "no thank you",but now just delete.Anyone sending me a phone number and email on 1st contact gets binned.
There are some genuine guys out there I'm sure, it's just a question of sorting the wheat from the chaff.

Hi Carenza, First off a hug,and one for the baby too
C.S. is a place I come to for a chat and catch up with some really lovely men and women. I always enjoy your posts as you have no agenda and that's the best way to be on here.
I can take it or leave it , and have been on and off for a few years now. At the moment I'm a bit housebound due to surgery, but once I'm up and running ,my time on here will be less frequent as there is another world apart from C.S.which I need to explore.
