Well, she certainly always made mine, CJ, she had such a gentle spirit, kind eyes, and always a friendly word. She truly did make me feel beautiful when I was around her.
I remember walking into church one morning and seeing a dear lady sitting by the door. I think she was 96 at the time. I walked up to her and said: "Good morning, Beautiful Lady, how are you today?" She laughed and responded with: "Well, I haven't been beautiful in a great many years!" I took her hand and brushed it against my cheek and said: "Sweet Sister, don't you know? Beauty isn't what is on the outside! Beauty is how a person feels when they spend time with you. I enjoy your company so much, you are beautiful to everyone who knows you."
I hold to that truth. Some on here surely see me as very ugly, because I have made some ugly and cutting remarks, for which I am heartily ashamed. It is my goal to be as beautiful as that dear lady, when I am 96.
Wow... Really? Hmmm.... I think this puts you a couple of steps up on my respect ladder. You really just talked to them all night? No touching? I'm totally impressed.
