I had to attend the Food Show at Mexico City for 3 days which I had not plans to (I was asked to coordinate some small rural business to attend it) but it was good, some interesting conferences, some artisan products (specialized markets) and I got to meet interesting people -with small rural business- from a few states.
There was a ceremony where the MX Agriculture+ Minister handed out Halal certificates to some Mexican Business so they can export to Muslim Countries and I was very surprised to know that a Mexican is selling dates (Halal) to the Arabs and other products but dates ? ..At the show there where a few MX Co that sell dates and one from San Luis Río Colorado "Medjool" has the best dates I have ever had.
Also there was a conference in which the Ambassadors of Australia, South Korea and Argentine took part. The SK Ambassador spoke vey good Spanish and his tone was "hey we are here, look at us as a market that wants the Mexican exports", the Australian Ambassador had a very interesting approach he said that his country not only wishes to extend the trading but to be able to consolidate some agreements regarding to science and technology and etc...
I will have some days off for Christmas but only a few days.
