No matter how some Cs fellows say to be against globalism the "global" price of commodities are set very much by the USA and many times it is cheaper to buy the corn than to produce it.
For the one that are against globalism, I do applaud them but I doubt very much they do understand what globalism is and what their own country is doing/standing on.
Agriculture has a very high risk and a very low return, my advice would be not to go into agriculture-horticulture and look for other activities, like politics
Politicians do make a high salary, great medical benefits, a good fund for retirement and the assess-kissing of the masses
Many women are used to be fed and taken care of by men at whatever price but some women are not fools and they become the masters. For the record, I do support equal rights and equal opportunities for everyone and how people live their private lives it is none of my business yet homes should be free of violence by law and the remote control should not be thrown to the master
On the other part, I do know the history of my land (and some of other lands) not as an expert though but enough to know what was going on and what is going on. History has bias, depending on who writes it nevertheless it is interesting to see different (even oposite) angles.
I was married for 24 years so I have paid my share
Being single I found it that I like it but if I were into dating I would not mind religion along as the person keeps it to himself, race would not be problem yet age would, too young or to old would be a no.
Another factor to consider is the life style, it might seem non important but it is on the long run.
Feminism is equal rights and equal opportunities for everyone.
Yet some people are not well informed or ill-informed or just define feminism themselves how they are capable of because of their knowledge/background/bias/fear and some times they feel threaten -some men and some women- by a woman who has had the opportunity of getting a job and being independent.
Also, time and place have to be taken into consideration when talking about equal rights and equal opportunities.
This guy sends a whatsapp to say that there is not whatsapp connection
If someone sends a dozen or more whatsapps per day and the person does not answers one why would this guy keep sending them? he is a work related guy so no, I can not delete him as a contact
Avocados are expensive even here most of the time although now they are cheap $1.25 per one kilo (farmers' market) but they can reach 4+ $/kilo.
The problem with ordering a whole case is the time they are ripe, all of them at the same time kind of. I place some in the veg-box in the fridge and some I let them at room temperature and others sometimes they go around in the car not frequently though (but they get ripe the fastest).
People get trapped into food-fashion so i would look for what is produced around locally mainly and yes i would get something but not as a necessity from someplace else and that will be like a treat.
I got some tea bags (someone brought them for me otherwise the shipping cost is just too high) from a Boston Company that i can not find here but I consume the most tea made of local produce and fresh made with herbs, fruits...and i even have my own plants and dream of having my own garden.
Avocado has good oils and it taste delicious but there might be some other produce to substitute for it or you could move to Michoacán in Mexico were they produce the most avocados in the world.
I forgot to comment if almonds are growing in your area check for the chilling hours of that area because apples do requiere more chilling hours (to break dormancy) that almonds. If there are apple trees Gala in your area and they are yielding enough apples (cost/benefit) then your trees should do just fine.
The sale price of an apple (or any produce) depends of many factors like:
- Organic or not - Season - Availability on the region - Fresh or refrigerated - Size - Consumer preference on varieties - local/imported - Variety (Gala has been around for some time and I believe there are that different "Galas")
Here Granny Smith, Gala and Pink Lady are the most expensive and its price goes around 2 to 3 dollar per kilo. the return of your orchard will depend on: pollination, water- nutrition management, thinning of the crop (to achieve bigger sizes) etc... and in the long term the rootstock matters.
Average production for apples here is 20 to 40 ton/ha when the trees are about 5-6 yo.
