"There are a myriad of things the world could benefit from having more of. Kindness is one of them. When you are a kind person, you're not only helping others, you are helping yourself, too. There's substantial scientific evidence that being kind makes you -- and others around you -- happy.
In a study conducted by Dr. Sonja Lyubomirsky, psychology professor at University of California, Riverside, students were assigned to do five random acts of kindness per week for a period of six weeks. At the end of the study, the students' levels of happiness had increased by 41.66 percent. Being kind had a profoundly positive effect on happiness."

I was inspired by photos of acts of kindness on MSN and thought it might not be a bad idea to spread a bit of it here in the forums.
People give out free hugs on the Las Ramblas boulevard on Aug. 19, 2017, two days after a van ploughed into a crowd, killing at least 13 and injuring over 100.
Post #5....the lyrics seem to suggest that someone expects to be rewarded for their kindness but true kindness comes from the heart without expectations. Most people tend to expect reciprocation for kind acts and it does feel good when that happens but if it isn't reciprocated, at least we go away knowing that we've done the right thing and that feels pretty darn good too.

The above makes it sound that one needs to be followed around by a publicist or a news correspondent to publicize any alleged act(s) of kindness that you may commit during your day to day attempts to live . I daresay, that is so artificial and bogus...as fake as reality TV, an oxymoron for sure. Most people do not have personal news outlets for publicity and any acts of kindness or just plain doing the civilized thing for another or perhaps to them, is not going to go public or be on the 11pm news anywhere. For the most part acts of decency/ kindness goes totally unknown except to the people actually involved...or so has my experiences in life come to. It is not a virus and does not spread of its own volition. That's a shame; wish it were contagious...
Lookin4missright: Reminds me when many musicians got together and raised a lot of money for the disadvantaged, and who gave up their time etc...

Hiya Lookin lub Yep, those songs have a way of touching a soft spot and a few tears are shed but they serve as reminders that we really don't have it so bad. Thank goodness for the kind peeps in the world because without them, we'd be kinda lost.
