I wonder how many failed relationships were ever really equal.

I can see the power differential on most relationship fairly

quickly. One person is generally more attached than the other,

and usually ends up getting left.

I read a book(I know...shocking) years ago Langley, that kind of stuck with me. The author(Pirsig) was examining quality, he wrote about static quality and dynamic quality. He wrote of songs which we like at first but quickly tire of as having dynamic quality, and songs we adore for years as having static quality. I think that can be related to relationships. Depending on what about a person attracts us, the attraction will be inherently static or dynamic.
