Yes, you got that right V...I know my father would not even allow me to call myself a good cook unless I knew how to make up a mean batch of BBQ, but we in the Midwest have a slightly different version than what is considered "traditional," by some states further South.
BBQ is subjective to different parts of America...it's just amazing how many variations there are and sauces and whatnot...but, hell, I don't discriminate, I just love it all! haha
When I've had a relationship end for whatever reason, I think for me, it's natural to wonder what I did/didn't do and to see where my shortcomings were..in order to learn.
I look at nothing as a failure, learn from each person I've been with good or bad and am thankful to say I am now smarter, wiser and can make better decisions and judgments because of what I've been through.
No regrets, life is too short for that and it's counterproductive.
Ha funny you should ask this question, because BBQ in my family is like a sacred thing..
I always, always thaw meat out in the fridge, lets say it's steak, I make a marinade out of garlic, red wine, a cap full of white or cider vinegar, sweet onions, beef broth, fresh cracked pepper, sea salt and let it sit for a full 24 hours. I cook it on foil onto the grill grate over low heat until just browned and sizzling..and it turns out perfect every time and the flavor is amazing.
Pork is different, I marinate it in dark (red) beer, onion, garlic and red wine vinegar...then grill it slow and low to give it a smokey flavor and then use my homemade BBQ sauce and YUMMY!
I had to learn to grill because if not, I'd be sunk as much as I love good BBQ.. enjoy yourself and give it time and you too can be a grill master!
Your friend has worked hard for her college education and she has a responsibility to take those examinations, she might not receive credit or graduate w/o these credits, it's something she MUST do.
The bride on the other hand has planned her wedding date, has her obligations and if her friend is unable to be there, then she NEEDS to be understanding and supportive of her friend.
sorry to be this blunt, but the bride may get married and be divorced within 2-3 years, but this girls college education is something that will last a lifetime....education FIRST, fun SECOND. JMHO.
We have glass bottles, cardboard cartons and plastic gallon jugs which milk comes in here..don't know where you are getting the idea about lose plastic bags or packets??? We are a civilized nation after all...
Well, you've come to the right place...the scammers will be sure to see you want this and your inbox/flowerbox should be lighting up like a Christmas tree any moment.
Hi Jac...regardless of his wife leaving him, he chose another party to be the recipient of his estate. If he has no children and no other living heirs, I see no harm in accepting it.
However, if there is conflict and questions, donating the estate to charitable organizations to do good w/ the money and enrich the lives of others, is a good way to feel better about being the beneficiary and does something to honor the gentleman's memory at the same time. JMHO.
Washing feet? Wow, I don't know if I even wanna know what that's all about....
Ali..what makes a "good" girl?
Being honest, living a moral life and not doing anything to deliberately be hurtful or deceitful to another person. I try to apply the Golden Rule to my life and live by it:
Treat others as you would want to be treated.
and:
Leave this world a better place than what you found it.
A business man got on an elevator in a building. When he entered the elevator, there was a blonde already inside and she greeted him by saying, "T-G-I-F" (letters only). He smiled at her and replied, "S-H-I-T" (letters only)."
She looked at him, puzzled, and said, "T-G-I-F" again. He acknowledged her remark again by answering, "S-H-I-T."
The blond was trying to be friendly, so she smiled her biggest smile and said as sweetly as possibly "T-G-I-F" another time. The man smiled back to her and once again replied with a quizzical expression, "S-H-I-T."
The blond finally decided to explain things, and this time she said, "T-G-I-F,
Thank Goodness It's Friday, get it?" The man answered, "Sorry, Honey, It's Thursday."
Hi Gin...I've just got done reading some updated news and from what I can tell, he's promised to leave, but is stalling around until the next election which isn't for another 7 months.. have you heard this as well?
Do you really believe it? Does this set the stage for the Muslim Brotherhood to take over and run things now?
How do you think this is going to turn out?
I can't see the US not staying involved and I also cannot see allowing the Muslim Brotherhood to take over, I don't think any good will come of that either.
Given the level of international frustration and finger shaking going on from other countries, the US is damned if we do and damned if we don't.
You have bleeding hearts who worry about the human rights of deposed dictators and violent criminals before the rights of the citizens and when the US intervenes, we get accused of being barbaric monsters.
If we don't, we get blamed for turning a blind eye and ALLOWING the atrocities to go on and even sanctioning the barbarities in the eyes of some.
As an American citizen, my philosophy is this...yes, I do care and my heart breaks for the misfortune being experience all over the world, it's not just limited exclusively to the Middle East.
While I don't always agree w/ the reasons of my government, I support our military and agree, if we can do something to help, we should and as should other countries.
Go ahead and hate on America all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that our assistance is called upon and we've always been there to help different countries, call us violent, opportunistic, war-mongers...but just remember, it's awful easy to point fingers and judge, but you have three pointing right back at you at the same time, because no country is w/o it's problems. JMHO.
In the US, we can sign the back of our drivers licenses and become an organ donor. I've signed mine and they can take whatever needed, I'm going to be dead so i don't need it any longer and if it can save a life so much the better.
Uh, nothing. I would try to talk her out of the nonsense, show her pictures from botched surgeries and pray she had enough common sense to not do something like that...who wants fake flotation devices anyways, natural is always better!
