I was never a big French wine fan - but I like wine as a subject in general I guess. At the end of the day why would you want a British Muller Thurgau and a vaguely jammy Cab Sauv from Kent but when you consider the conditions/varietals they have to work with, they can make some pretty good wine.
I have had more than my share of biker rallies and slabs of Dutch Gold and god bless those chip vans at those events .... especially in the morning when they served the sausage in a roll equivalent of ambrosia. Hey, I'm nothing if not versatile
So you've got them to say yes and they're coming round to dinner ... What are you cooking? Personally, I'd love a bigger oven cos I'd really like to attempt chocolate moose....
Truthfully is .... my fave Sauvignon - although I still like a decent Pouilly Fume - just not the price tag. Mmmm , as Cloudy Bay got too over priced and over rated Montana is my second best. This is the fairly decent less than a tenner Lidl Malborough. All grass and juicy blackcurrants. Yum.
So tonight I decided to try pear and blue cheese salad. I tried a new recipe. It said prepare ingredients, then toss on a bed of lettuce one hour before serving. Which is why I have spent 3 hours at the garda station trying to explain what I was doing in the salad tunnel at the local organic veg growers.....
Person you most like to have a date with
never got either of them myself ....Vinny Jones years ago or Jonathan Rees Mayers ....
