Following Friend’s Advice

I’ll go to the mountain, as you told me, my friend,
I know it’s a place where my soul should relax,
And scenery there will leave me perplexed,
I’ll go to the mountain, as you told me, my friend.

I’ll stay there as long as it takes me, my friend,
I’ll take off my coat, on the grass it will stretch,
And lie watching fowls how they fly, catch their prey,
I’ll stay there as long as it takes me, my friend.

You tell me that nature is teacher, my friend,
Her wisdom is stored in deep caverns and clefts,
Her streams give instructions, their whispers tell tales,
You tell me that nature is teacher, my friend.

You’re right when you say nature’s cure, my friend,
If heart ever breaks, should our love ever fail,
We find here refuge, seek solace for pain,
You’re right when you say nature’s cure, my friend.

You say I should stay overjoyous and gay,
Cast off heavy doubts as too gloomy and sad,
You say I should go to the mountain for strength,
Advice is well taken, I’ll follow it then.

To Emigrant

Sky is bottomless,
Sky isn't mine.
Space is limitless,
Space isn't mine.
Road is infinite,
Road isn't mine.
People walking by
Aren’t mine.
So I ask you, my friend…
What is keeping you back?
Here sky isn't yours,
Here space isn't yours,
Here roads aren't yours,
Here people aren’t yours.
So I'll tell you, my friend,
Don't think much and go back,
To your home, which no land could replace.

It's Been Long

It’s been long, it’s been hard,
I’ve seen tears, broke your heart.
Now I know who’s to blame,
Now I know why you cried.
Now I know that I’m broke,
Guess it’s time we changed parts,
Guess it’s time I paid price,
Made amends for wrong done,
For I’m lost, there’s no way
Out of maze of my love.

A Poet

He is the poet who destroys his foes,
Whose mother is the truth and all its worth,
Whose love for people is to brothers’ love akin,
Who’ll suffer so that people’s cause should win.
He'll easily attend to task and won’t refrain
From doing what the others tried but failed.
He is the people's poet, man of fame,
He is the poet, poet of his native land!

For Humanity's Sake

I’ve seen pictures of earth being scorched to death,
Sun expanding in size, bringing life to an end.
You may think why to care, it is so far away,
It’ll take billion years for the sun reach our place.
So if future of earth is so bleak, it's condemned,
Dear friends, don’t you think it is time we made plans,
It is time we were wise, started search for new place,
Through the vast universe we could travel in space,
In large ships borne in time generations will stay,
Generations will die for humanity’s sake,
Till new planet is found which our life will sustain.

Sunset Melody

Sunset melody pleasantly sung,
Just a simple reminder ... we cared.
Write a line, tell you’re fine,
See, life’s gone, past is past.
Don’t you know there’s no point,
Don’t you think we’ve been born,
Born to love, live and die wide asunder?!

Sunset melody pleasantly sung,
Just a simple reminder ... we cared.
Holding hands, watching stars,
What if hurt never dies?!
Don’t you know there’s no point,
Don’t you think we’ve been born,
Born to love, live and die wide asunder?!

Sunset melody pleasantly sung,
Just a simple reminder ... we cared.
Love is gone, it is buried for ever in past,
Just reminded at sunset by melody sung.
So it seems there’s no point,
Now we know we’ve been born,
Born to love, live and die wide asunder.

Before Sun Rises

A vast sea-green space tops my head like a shroud
And silence is filling the valleys around,
And eyes that are gazing at sky skip about
Jumping from star to the star,
Like gaze shifts in water from pebble to pebble
Following course of its run.
Tomorrow at dawn day will come in a rush,
The sun will be rising – the killer of stars,
And all that keeps silent will let out cry,
The navy blue cup will be clear and bright,
And only the sun, only one of all stars
Will shine in the morning all over the sky.

Ignorance

Don’t know what is the matter with my luck:
I’ve been restricted for no reason I could think of.
Don’t know what is the matter with my heart:
The more I try the outcome is worse than I could think of.
Don’t know what is the matter with my pride:
I could have carried on without trouble I could think of.
Don’t know what is the matter with my life:
The wheel of fortune turns with no direction I could think of.
Don’t know what is the matter with the vows of friends:
Seem to have vanished into air now that I think of.
Don’t know what is the matter with this world of ours,
Or is it me to blame for ignorance now that I think of?!

The Shadow of Your Smile

The shadow of your smile starts there, in your eyes,
I wonder at the promise that your eyes in their deepness hide.
When sun with shadows that it casts on earth in clouds glides,
Playing seek and hide, as if those shadows were my plight,
The shadow of your smile lying deeply in your eyes
Engages me in dreams, sweet dreams of better life.
And when all shadows on sun’s bidding simply die
Smile’s there, in your eyes, like an amazing guide.
Its mere shadow may be promising of love I dearly strive,
Such smile that if the time is right and season’s bright
Does blossom in a way all flowers do when love is ripe.

Despair

When silence speaks a lot, tells more
Than any other word told by the sage,
When heart is nothing more than home
For solitary poignant soundless pain ...
When words of wisdom have no force
And sword of grief seems only worth.
When thoughts of heart are drowned in mind
And out of mind soul’s outcry is loud.
When in this world all people seem so strange
As if they came from nowhere, out of space,
They hear not you and you don’t hear them.
When slander’s gaining pace and catching up,
When you’re unwanted, which you feel so sharp,
As if you’re yellow leaf condemned to die ...
Oh how I’d love to stand on summit in the dark,
So that life’s over in an instant, it'll be luck!
So that no longer should I wander on this soil,
So that no longer should I overload a sinful soul,
So that I freely should ascend into the high
With cleanly hands and pure tender heart.
Then, I suppose, it’ll come to end and die,
All that I have till now called a life.
And no more shall I care for reaping
Fruits of what once I so adored and sowed.
Oh, in this life all I beheld was not much feeling,
Hypocrisy, betrayal, lies and cold.
This is the reason why I think that time is ripe,
This is the reason why I stand at fleshless arch.

Sweet Dreams

Sleep you tight, dear friend, night is closing on you,
Worries died with the day, chase them out of your room.
Every time you close eyes let sweet dreams you embrace,
Every time you close eyes let them enter and play
Till you’re given to sleep, till oblivion reigns.

Dreams ... in dreams you will find so much rest, so much peace,
Raging winds like regret will not shatter this shield.
Every time you close eyes don’t forget, think of me,
And of day that will be like extension of dream
Making life even brighter than happiest dream.
Sleep you tight, dear friend, wish you peace, sleep and dream.

Just Make a Guess

The moment I come here to rest,
To scroll through poets, good or best,
Whom do you think I’m glad to find,
In whose creations find delight?
Who is this poet? Oh you'll guess,
Just check his sign of Aries.

Who is the one who makes us sigh
When writing sonnets full of love,
Who’s full of humor, gives us laugh
With all his jests and witty lines ?
Who is this poet? Oh you'll guess,
Just check his sign of Aries.

I’ve gained so much of writing skill
By reading poems made by him.
They gave me confidence I need,
Filled me with sympathy I missed.
Who is this poet? Oh you'll guess,
Just check his sign of Aries.

We know that time, relentless time
Leaves marks on faces, thins our blood,
But this may not be true for ones,
Who leave their trace in people’s hearts.
Who is this poet? Oh you'll guess,
Just check his sign of Aries.

On this quite special April day
I wish him joy, I wish him well,
I wish him confidence and love,
Longevity and best of luck.
Who is this poet? Oh you'll guess
Just check his sign of Aries.
