Highway Redemption

Coyote cries on hot asphalt
I'm so sorry
So sorry I'm at fault
If it means anything
I'll lick the chrome
that kissed your cheek
Be the first to say
I'm sad and weak
so blue so bleak
so lost and meek

Pensando en Usted

Lets meet again
Where sunlight meets shadow
next to open alleyways
where once upon a time
we danced to Tejano tunes
coming from the window above
Didn't it almost feel like love

Latin flare, your raven hair
messy, and thats my fault
Often I wonder what became of you
and if you ever think of me
Now and then I can taste your lips
Close my eyes and your finger tips,
touching me places the sun rarely ever goes

So if your ever bored and lonely
rummaging around deep inside your mind
look up the memory of me sometime
Remember how for just a moment
we were so close to falling in love
dancing to that Tejano tune above
in alleyways where sunlight meets shadow

Phk Off with Flowers ... The Poetry Corner Remix

Silly cheerful people
From a cold and dreary land
listen to me closely
maybe you can understand
I don't believe in karma
Jesus Christ or a world peace
I don't believe in most beliefs
Be it west or far far east
I believe in the life I live
I believe in what I see
It may seem deranged, a tad bit strange
I call it reality

About this poem:
This is a poem that I came up with while picking lilacs with my old chap Sam. It really brings out the best of all of us I think and I just hope I get BUNCHES of Karma points for it !!
God Bless America and God save the Queen...and what ever the Mexicans say...

Enjoy The Ride

They throw themselves at me
Its only because they see
Something better then reality
Something better then what's really me
My words took the wheel
Guided them down roads so soft
During moon less nights
With the head lights off

The Other Side ( last of the four new ones)

This road is for the dead
I have a weekend pass
and I'll be sure to ask
About the dust spit demons
I carry on my back
So don't wait up for me
Don't wait around to see
I never promised I'd be back

Spanish Fly

She makes the stars glimmer
They glow a little brighter each time they see her eyes.
Dark brown orbs that mimic the night forest
and with each blink
you can almost hear the crickets sing.

She walks like smoke.
Each one of her curls twist like chocolate strings
winding round and round,
heavens ladders seeking a resting place
then finding it upon the swells of her back.

"Drag the moon down" she says.
So that she may see the path to where my heart hides.
Its throbbing beat, whispering secrets,
dark tales that read like romance novels
settled in the mind of a drunken fool.

"Do you love me ?" She asks.
Thats why I wonder over cliffs,
just to fall for her
Sweet notes taken from a tragic scream
crushed bones gift wrapped with a kiss
just to fall for her

Reflection in the window

A transcontinental glance,
from a messiah in his blue suede pants.
Sing daddy sing,
and ride the star that made the dream.
What is there is not for us to see,
but for us unseen is what soon shall be.
So, count your cards and bluff the builder,
who made the strain that one day kills her.
Build a bomb to bomb the wrong,
while the cricket plays his same sad song.
Yesterday has gone away,
to help tomorrow die, that’s what they say.
Or said the queen who helped the rabbit,
shoot back up that same old habit.
And in the end all things will die,
glitter and fade like the empty sky.

Not a Love Poem

This isn't a love poem
Its true words about how I feel
How its never felt this real
till your lips told secrets to mine
I get addicted time after time
to your soft romantic touch,
the way you say you love me so much
And baby, you know I love you too

Your eyes that shine
lack sapphires in the sun
They're bullets in a gun
and my heart has a target only you can see
I'm so happy your with me
so happy I can be
the things you need most of all
So never be afraid to fall
Never be afraid to call
I'll catch with a million words
and we can fly away like two love birds
to places only lovers know
places only we can go
to sit and watch the life we've made
how much we've cried
how much we gave
to make our lives blend like paintings
hanging on the walls of halls
that angel pass
And how they love and laugh
and hold their hearts
knowing that they had a part
in a love that is soon to bloom
into stars that sit beside the moon

Believe me when I say
this is not a love poem
This is how I'm glad I'm not alone
and as much as this may seem unreal
these are words of how I truly feel

I Am Hate ((WARNING...not nice !!))

I Am Hate

I am Hate.
The very name pulls life from your lungs,
as you exhale to speak the word.
Hate
I am the spit that rides on your razor words.
That extra push that breaks through the rib cage.
The hand that strikes the tear stain cheaks.
I am the feeling after the fire, the father of rage.
Know me, I am Hate
I am the smerk on his face,
when you were only a child.
I am the sounds that drowned,
your screams for help.
I am every ripped pair of panties,
and blood stained rope.
I am simple, I am Hate.
I am the dirt in the lungs,
and the flesh under the nail.
I am the thousands of gallons of water,
that blanket your ravaged body.
I am the lie that hides the truth.
The shark in the lake, out of place, and all alone.
I am the dinasour too big to be swallowed
by the tar pit in the back of your mind.
I am forever and I am everywhere
I am Hate

About this poem:
I just wanted to share this poem and a few others that touched different subjects and emotions...
With this poem I wanted to see what you all thought when i'm not writing about love, but yet the opposite...Hate.

The Mystery of Susie ( Thriller Poem)

Where did little Susie go
Little Susie all alone
She left her school at three o clock
Never to come home

Her parents called the police
The police formed a search
And all the helpful volunteers
Gathered at the church

She had on a yellow sundress
Here's a picture of her face
At three o clock this afternoon
she vanished with no trace

Volunteers came from miles around
they searched with all there might
Soon the setting autumn sun
Just faded into night

Sometime around the midnight hour
A scream ripped through the trees
It made every hair stand straight up
And buckled both the knees

Out of the woods ran a volunteer
Her hands held to her chest
About a mile away she gasped
I found a yellow dress

The police found the yellow dress
So they began to search around
Close to thirty feet away
Little Susie laid face down

Naked as the day she was born
Her hands bound behind her back
Loosely laid around her head
Was a beat up burlap sack

Her throat had been sliced open
yet no blood was to be found
So someone had place Susie
right here on this frigid ground

The question still remains today
an answer we may never know
When the bell went off at three o clock
Where did Susie go ?

Another Knock at the Door We both Hit the Floor

I smell lighting at the front door
She begs to get inside
Oh tell me little song bird
Where ever shall I Hide

There's a flower on my bed sheet
Another pedal gone
Like super glue its brilliant blue
Tell me where did I go wrong

There's a candles on the telephone
She's begging for a flame
Calls here every now and then
I think she wants to burn again

I need to find myself a heaven
Oh for heavens sake
A jelly bean of a dream
And I can't seem to wake

Fish out of Water

You went and left
with another guy,
glitter and fade
into a starless sky.

I spend my days
with just your ghost,
a parasite
for which I’m the host.

I miss the smell
of the salty sea,
miss the sway
of a tall palm tree,

miss the times
we were a team,

Oh sweet California day dream.
