MELBOURNE MEET March 23, 2013 ( This Event is Past) (815)

wash2u: Friends of mine stayed in a place very reasonable and only a short walk to the city. And very close to Bridge Street, the 'other' fashion centre of Melbourne. Will have a look tomorrow when in there to get details.

St Kilda is something else. Has nightlife (of many different kinds), the Paladeum Theatre, Luna Park and a decent walk out into the Bay, Sunday craft markets, and the ferry ride over to Williamstown markets on a Sunday. And good for a "gay old time." There are trams and a light rail into the city.

But would not advise walking back from a night out in the city. Lot of 'empty' space along the way.

jennaleigh21: Well I would help you out Curly and the rest but I have the navigation skills of a dead penguin trying to get to the south pole to meet Santa!!

But I do know St Kilda used to be a hot spot no idea now as Ive only been in Melbourne 18 months after Tasmania and New Zealand so Frankston Pier is exciting to me
