curly28: It does but there are two of us so wouldn't it be about same price via cab or a little bit dearer. I can't remember what it cost last year when we were there but think wasn't too much could be wrong
I'm guessing about $45-50 for a taxi. They have to pay an airport charge and the tolls so it adds up.

Yeah pretty much sure it was about that price range for cab I'll check the buses out when I get there if not any good catch cab no big deal.

I have caught taxis out to the airport where they were $58, but at other times they can be $52... I have heard some nightmare stories of the trip costing $63. So you might get lucky with a taxi, but you might not. If there were a few arriving into Melbourne at the same time, sharing a cab is a good option.
Otherwise, I would be taking Wash up on his generous offer.

Curly the bus is very convenient and cheap - the booth is just outside the exit door at the airport, you can buy a return ticket there.
It will take you into the city then you'll probably be transferred to a smaller vehicle which will drop you at your hotel.
For the return trip, just go to your hotel desk and ask them to book you seats on the bus (the day before), they will advise you where to wait for it

Cheers Snags I've prepaid my ride into melbourne to my hotel .Just gotta call them up and confirm
And of course get a taxi from to adelaide Airport lucky it takes 5 minutes .

Friday - give curly another call - want to see as much as I can, hop on and off the free trams City Circle route, hope to get over to South Bank. Give Micky a call, or wait for him to call me for a coffee break -
Make a plan, do some more 
Cruise on Sat morning some time I hope, couple of hours relaxing, taking in the sights from the river, lunchypoos somewhere, free n easy rest of the day
Meet up Sat nt. Looks like dinner might be somewhere else?? 
Think the mobiles will be running hot

I am finally packed too much stuff as usual crikey I'm only going for 5 days but
I kept thinking to meself gee I might need that and oh yeah that the list is endless Anyhow I am flying out tomorrow see ya all there let's party I don't know how long I'll last but give it me best shot 
:buddies:There is a 2 hr $25 return cruise to Williamstown. I assume you can get off for a lovely lunch in Willy then return later in the afternoon. Williamstown is very nice and good for a leisurely wander.
