curly28: UPDATE!! I have just found out my best friend and another friend have secretly booked their flights and accom for Melbourne plus another lady has booked as well altogether there are four of us Western Aussie ladies coming to Melb meet
Looks to be a crowd going this time around. So for those living in Melb and wanting to be there for the 7.30 start, it would mean eating very early or grabbing something there. So have a think about grabbing a dinner table that night.

Dinner/eats on the Sat nt is something to think about? Are we going to be a big crowd so a table needs to be booked?
Anybody thinking about eating somewhere earlier before going to Young and Jacksons?
Just ideas to throw around before the date?? Any ideas from the locals of reasonably priced places to eat close by for anyone who wants to eat earlier??

Don't think there is much difference in how they all over-charge in the City. The 1st Meets I went to, I had dinner before I went (at 5.30) because I didn't know what others were doing. But the hen's night seemed to be a bity embarrassed when Snags' Showbag came out and they left shortly after.
2nd Meet meant I ate at 5.30 before I went as they seemed to sit around and enjoyed themselves, and a few had something to eat with nothing really organised.
So thinking out loud, I am looking at staying in the city Fri & Sat nights so I can enjoy the Spanish and the Meet AND be able to have more than 1 drink (Lookin would probably say 3).
Thinking trying to book a table so all 28 of us have a bit of room (sometimes just enough room for 8 to sit in those comfortable lounges )
