bah humbug
So the NHS has scheduled my biopsy for 5 minutes before Christmas which not only means I can worry* about the results over the entire festive season, it has properly mucked up any travel plans I would normally have made. I’ll spend it writing, instead, see how far I can mine my imagination.
If money and distance were no object , if anything you could dream up was possible – what would you do over the festive season?

All my family / friends are hours away, bad planning on my part. If I could get anywhere at all, hmm, rather fancy this -
As long as my mum is alive I'm going home to spend time with her and my family. This will be different someday, so I enjoy the time I can have with them now.
Why don't you call the dr's office and reschedule the biopsy? Surely they would understand.
I believe everything happens for a reason. Maybe you need some downtime to unwind, everyone does at times. Seems you have no choice in the matter
If money and distance were no object, I would love to travel our country handing out food packages to all the homeless and street children.
