This wasn't meant to be a mawkish blog, although I appreciate the tactful silence. It's true on every level. Miss a friend, miss a much-loved pet, miss family - you wouldn't feel the loss if you hadn't had the company in the first place.

No downs would be good, but it probably means no ups, and I like the ups. They're worth the downs!

I had a good time itchy, though not long enough, I often stay for 3mth, but I am in the middle of moving house again, so had to get back to Blighty. Must say I missed you crazy guys, I never went near a computer when I was away, though my daughter Lisa could not miss one day on her phone.

itchy, if ever I get to Ireland I will hunt you down, I must warn you though, when I am in a pub I always have to sing "Danny Boy" I so love that song. My Great Granny and Grandpa hail from Limerick. My Mother always said I had an Irish temper when I was young, well I guess I was at odds with the world in those far off days.

@Solamente, I think it's a difference just to miss someone because of one's current moods or for somebody to clean one's place than to miss someone's soul.

had been, the place was immaculate.

15 years of heaven, followed by 15 years of doing my own housework, and I miss her EVERY TIME I start cleaning up. But I did appreciate her at the time. You should have paid your cleaner more, he/she might have stayed on.
