Across The River!!

Now that I live in Bullhead City, AZ I am right at the Colorado River. It is beautiful and the water is so clear and clean. This is a mellow town with a low crime rate and the cops don't ever make it out to the street unless there is a call with problems.

On the other side is Laughlin, NV where a pioneering man started a city named after himself and started building some casinos since gambling is legal in Nevada! There are about 8 or 9 and they are quite large with game rooms loaded with gambling 1-armed bandits and sports betting (just like Las Vegas), dance halls, bars and the hotels. It's quite a sight to see! The clientele are the senior citizen's that don't want to go to Las Vegas because it's a far drive.

In these 2 towns, California, Nevada and the Arizona all touch and it is referred to as the Tri-State area. So, the seniors don't need to go to glitz town to enjoy the area. There's also lots of water sports like boating and skiing. And needless to say!! FISHING!!!

I don't go over to Laughlin too much because I don't gamble. But once in awhile I go see the Pro games in the casinos on their giant screens. The Riverside Casino has the best array of sets. You can watch every game in progress on Sundays.

NYE was quite a spectacle but the only thing I "heard" was the pyrotechnic display. The fireworks exploded and at 12 am (YES, Arizona is in Mountain time and Nevada is in Pacific time) Nevada time it woke me up. I laughed because I knew there were a whole lot of people partying and watching the fireworks. I just went back to sleep.

I like it here so I have found a new home. More to come as it warms up, yes it gets a little cold here but it's not bone chilling cold where the humidity is higher, so I hibernate alot!

I miss my kids but I call them frequently and they will come and visit me so I am ok with that! OK, bye for the moment to my pals and Kyamigo! Til the next blog!!

Given up on S.A.While U.S given up On Obama

doh THIS IS WHEN YOU HAVE THE GRAVY TRAIN RUNNING DRY AND THE COMMUNISTS TAKING OVER Investors are fleeing South Africa to regions where economic policy is more stable, according to fund managers speaking to Bloomberg.

Less than 24 hours after President Jacob Zuma fired finance minister Nhlanhla Nene and replaced him by the unknown ANC back-bencher, David van Rooyen, fund managers and analysts are spelling doom for South Africa’s economy.

Speaking to Bloomberg, Investec Asset Management fund manager Malcolm Charles described the situation as a “self-induced crisis”, in which investors are “voting with their feet” and taking money out of the country to other markets.

According to Charles, who oversees R7.3 billion in assets, investors are selling at a loss, and are not looking back.

Preparing for a crash and burn

The South African rand once again hit new lows against the US dollar on Thursday, briefly reaching over R16 against the greenback, before settling at approximately R15.80.

Making matters worse, ratings firm Standard & Poor’s has warned that any deviation from South Africa’s fiscal plan by the new minister would very likely result in the country’s credit rating being junked.

This would make the lending rate for South Africa significantly higher, while professional investors, such as hedge funds, pension funds and asset managers would be prevented (through their own policies) from investing in country.

S&P recently changed its outlook on the country from stable to negative, following a year of creeping economic growth which is expected to be even slower in 2016. Other firms, Fitch and Moody’s have the country at stable on the lowest investment grade.

According to analysts, investors are preparing for the country to enter junk status – which would cause even more investment capital to flee the country.

Economist, Cees Bruggemans painted a bleak future for South Africa under van Rooyen, saying that, on top of junk status, South Africans can expect higher inflation, raised taxes and an even weaker rand.

“The dam wall has given way. Stand back while the world sits in judgement,” the economist said.SOUTH AFRICA IS BURNING WHILE THE CLOWNS PARTY ON.NO MERRY XMAS HEREfrustrated frustrated help help

Hatred fear and misery

Go for it. You pays your money and you takes your choice.

Perfect world, not a single comment - but then there are so many other blogs catering to your needs, there don't need to be comments on this one. Don't make any.

Money, Money, Money

Never been able to keep a penny in the bank, always found when I had a bit of spare cash, either a bill came in for the same amount or the money just seemed to flow through my fingers with nothing to show for it.

How good are you with money?

Anyone play the stock market?

Saturday is never a good day to blog so I am hoping rather than expecting responses. I've just gone into a buying partnership in a small way with lovely man-friend who has played the market for decades (longer even than I have known him) and $$ signs are dancing in my eyes.

Did make me wonder if there are others who dabble or for that matter plow right in, here on CS. I know of one very together lady here who works in the biz and hinted at her that I would love tips. She hinted right back that I could forget it laugh

Actually seems to me any ways that anyone knows of making (or okay gambling) extra cash would be of great interest to most of us.

Everything big...started as something small....

There are many people with brilliant ideas...but they get discouraged when they think about the effort that would need to go into their idea before it would be seen or really before it makes money...

However, no big/ successful venture fell out of the air... It all started as a small idea which grew into something big and successful (yeah, some takes long to get there were as others
quickly blossomed)...

Point is, how many good ideas do you have, but you just haven't give it fair chance...

Go for it....teddybear

L2 is Link and Lobby

build a business requires good management. There are many things that must be done for the business are met.
This afternoon I want to offer a handicraft product to a company for materials exhibit in October. When it until I find a man who bowed with his face tired.
I approached this man then tried to ask:
"Sir, what is happening to you?"
he replied:
"My proposal was rejected by the company".
Back I asked:
"How can?"

This man took a deep breath and said:
"The company just received proposals from parties who have a relationship with government links, and also I do not know how to persuade the director to want to consider my proposal."

This man passed away with disappointment.
His departure makes me think that Link and Lobby is needed in a bid.
This is a valuable lesson for me.
