spending resources of futures thrift
will leave us cold, hungry, bereft
wandering about with our own discontent
blaming government, banks, others, the event
got all we want, way more than we needed
haven't listened to frugal tomes and heeded
some lessons in life are hardly learned
to have a penny saved we need it earned
one things for sure, I'll make a bet
we'll keep goin' deeper, deeper in debt
to daughters and sons we'll pass the note
to bail our boat, another loan to float
but of this i believe, and am quite sure
if we want less, we'll surely get more

My feelings, long asleep,
are like the flowers of Spring
aware of the warmth,
but fearing the cold.
Is this the time to emerge,
green and fresh
into the clean air?
Or wait, patiently for clearer signs,
so that they do not wither
and die,
The Winter has been long and lonely
and I long to bask in the warm spring
sun.
Growing, budding and flowering
in another’s company.

(Who can tell us who we truly are? The answer is God. We can only show ourselves.)
Some judge me, others love me…
I have a place in all their hearts,
Yet why are they opposing in character?
I love them all - with my heart,
I think I know them,
I believe I relate to them,
Yet the real truth eludes me –
I do not listen to THEIR story.
Life has thrown many obstacles,
The hurdles were mislead,
The goal always unreachable,
Yet here I am.
The question still remains – Who am I?
Can…will I answer it?
The answer is simple: to know myself…
I must listen.

The night breaks into a new dawn
Embalming what once-was to what will-be
Cocooning itself into a mirror of reflection
Allowing the radiance of light to beckon forth
This journey-of-light continues once more
To bring warmth to souls akin
Where once sadness was (emerges peace)
Banishing the vacuum of loneliness unto unity
As the day rises with the light
Hope forms faith renewed
Which in-turn surrogates compassion…
Awakening life to a new birth
Centered now, near the gravity-of-truth
Selfishness succumbs to 'expression of love'
Granting the humblest of deeds
Paving the path to true righteousness
The day renews its descent into night
Embarking upon the infinite circle-of-trust
Day into night / night into day
Never once, ceasing from their penultimate destination
In understanding this,
We ponder many questions, but truly,
One must ask themselves...
Where does one's true heart lie for others?

Words of Appreciation – Gifted from above…
Thoughts transfigured into actions (unto others… not self)
His passion for Life imparted by the undertaking of selflessness
‘Benediction of compassion’ planted within one’s heart
Damaged eyes envisioning ‘beauty defined’ within souls unknown
A splendor of broadening horizons… once-more
Broken individuals united by grace and empathy
Intertwined hearts bestowing ‘hands of hope’
Goodwill-Towards-Man… prevailing over all ‘seasons’

Live for today, find love for the here and now.
Every day I hear of people dying. Some I know.
Don't waste time with head games and lies.
Find that special someone or at least try.
Take a chance. Be hurt if needed but do your quest.
Find your soulmate, but don't proceed in jest.
Be honest, be true, be open and above all be You.
Find that special someone and love them true.
Life is short don't you know... 30,000 days is typical.
Only days so don't wait until the weather is tropical.
Days only...Just days. Take a Chance. Pick up the phone.
...Write that letter...type that email,,,reach out to someone
and touch that person and see if maybe...just maybe
they will be your sweetheart, your friend, your "sweet baby"!
See if they touch you back...and touch your heart!!
There is someone for you, there has from the start.
There is nothing more precious or priceless
than Love.....damn it there just isn't!! Find it,
search it, quest it and then Live it!!

One man gave His life so that we may live
Flowing unwavering radiance from His spirit into our hearts
His love defied description with no boundaries
The journey-of-faith he treaded brought forth righteousness
The unequaled justice within spoke truth
Wisdom ‘beyond ages’ everlasting
His pain exalts His passion
Living words bearing new fruit
Within us all, resides His spirit
Calming our hearts with patience- unending
Sacrificing to sustain our lives
His footprints are the path to the future
