I often look back on life, its good to reflect and take the time,
to see what was, yet whats to come,
the future is now, what have we done,
the dreams we had, the paths we took, living reality makes us look,
are the choices in life made fair and wise,
is luck jst a simple suprise,
take the journey into your mind,
absorb the empowerment, let it all fly,
surrounded by confussion, negative collides,
isolation thy positve shall rise,
strength from influences that we see,
the creation of our morals and personality,
adopt a mentor that we choose, to empower life we never lose,
fear nothing that we feel, life with drugs is only seral,
learn from those by your side, for they have seen, they never hide,
to open my thoughts one by one,
my expression a form in time to come.

About this poem:
this is a poem i wrote as a way of expressing my inner thoughts on how i look at different aspects of life, i was in a state of confussion and heart ache, and just felt like i had to write, i guess i kind of just came out, everything i was feeling at the time, i have written many more poems, at the time i wrote this one, it was kind of an emotional outburst, but just on paper, i hope you enjoy it, if i recieve enough possitive and constructive feedback, i may submit more.

About this poem:
There was a post with the question why do you write poetry. I decided to answer the question with my own question why do not I write poetry and along the way answer the question why some people write poetry. I did it for fun and would like to hear the opinion of the professional poets here on the site
the dancers form
the dancers body so svelte and stark
goes head to toe to get to the point
all muscle, tendons, turns and arcs
curve legs, curl arms, swing hip joint
their scissors cut the air of art
grace is balancing function and form
staging performance a world apart
from human to angelic transform
a choreography of soul to position
to defy gravity in aerial suspension
an artist, a sculptor, a body magician
movement a shape beyond comprehension
depict the art of the dancers torso
seems human fluidity, only more so

The Calculus of caring for
the multitudes of disadvantaged.
Don't say no, say I know.
Get up off the poor streets
and show these people here
that you have learned lessons
and are ready to stand on your
own and deliver positive life.
Show them that being down
is not being left out of
the mathematics of good life.
Count the times you have gotten up.
Give motivation and receive hope.
Ganas come to those who practice.
