tides in the moon

Tears for the moon she weeps
water the river keeps
now in ocean sleeps
tell tides have arisen reaching for the sky
only to crash in a dreamers eye
and tangle on the tongue to speak

Road

So now that I’m free, I am my master, owner, friend,
I'll enter upon road of joy, adventures and surprise,
I'll say to life: "You've won, I'm loser, I am what I am,
In search for truth all that I saw proved nothing but mirage."
We sink and swim, but, what is more, we live with zest,
Of this I know, oh road, should I just chose and dared,
And always kept my own, and never craved for less,
The long and tiring road would then seem short to fare.
I'll carry on this crooked road not much, but former load,
The burden of all men and women that I’ve known,
And charged with load like this I still am free to go,
"I'm filled with them, and I will fill them in return."
Oh road that takes me far from home, you - open road,
I'm full of joy and promises you give, you're what I chose.

roads and all

well heaven knows
and heaven lies
I'm driving down this road
under stationary skies

distances are vast
I can see no end
it's easy just to cruise
it's easy to pretend

if my truck was an angel
if my truck had wings
I'd fly past the corners
this world brings

I'd fly down to Texas
just to say I did
I'd hold the world
in a coffee jar
then I'd turn the lid

but my wheels are rubber
and my truck ain't new
so I turn on the radio
and I think of you

at the end of every run
that I've ever had
there's automatic balancing
of good and bad

I don't always get it right
like I did with you
a part of me never smiles
when the sky is blue

I'm told there's a mountain
at the end of this track
I won't be needing anything
I won't be coming back

if my truck was an angel
if my truck had wings
I'd fly past the corners
this world brings

I'd fly down to Texas
just to say I did
I'd hold the world
in a coffee jar
then I'd turn the lid

but my wheels are rubber
and my truck ain't new
so I turn on the radio
and I think of you

the girl in the poster

they said misfortune stalked you.. they said that life was hard
in the genetic school of poker
you were dealt the hardest card

a rogue gene: you misshapen henceforth they would detect
but all I see is beauty
in the poster I inspect

it was hard for me to process
I was new in town
I'd left a girl for the colour
of a certain wedding gown

she wanted picket fences
guess I was too remote
the only berth to interest me
was on a fishing boat

then I saw you in this poster
your eyes two drops of rain
I saw a man recoil from you
as if you held some blame

you followed me around town
I saw your face amongst the stars
I began to see you everywhere
in the licence plates of cars

you removed the night's wallpaper
to paint the air with sky
your beauty far too certain
to entertain a lie

so thank you girl for the memory
of the sky that melted blue
and all the pieces of your person.. stuck together with God's glue

A Parallel Universe

(A Collaborative Poem with Christian Candykid)
Embedded image from another site

A tapestry of telepathy, he knows that he's lost...
She waits for his whispers, he suffers the cost...
In parallel planes there are mirrors that divide...
And mirrors that decide to unite...

A ripple distorted the reflections of whispering echoes...
Igniting hope between two worlds never touching...
One reaching, the other one fleeting...
As liquid diamonds drip from her eyes...

Clairvoyant submission beyond natural-born vision...
Arms reaching searching for transparent collisions...
Precision decisions reflect crystal clear visions...
Apparitions appear before starlit renditions...

Blinded by the sun's bright and blinding conditions...
They are each spellbound by photo-framed solar rays...
With invisible strands, he crushes stars in his hands...
But unity in reality is light years away...

And so he stands in the center of the sun...
Mirrors of lost time reveal she is the one...
After thousands of years, searching thousands of mirrors...
They've found each other in tears....

About this poem:
This is an enjoyable collaboration with Christian Candykid on a fantasy theme. Beautifully blending a logical/pragmatic mind with an imaginative/creative mind. He is very wonderful to work with.

Smiling Tears.............

Skin as black as charcoal
Teeth as white as snow
You glanced in my direction
My smile was there to show
You stumbled on some words
You stopped and tried to share
How were you to know
That someone else would care
Ignorance was abound you said
In your present state of mind
As tears flowed from your eyes
How could I be so kind
I was kinda taken back
Not used to this reaction
Asked if she was ok
As she checked on her direction
Off she went up the street
As I contemplated my fate
Wiping tears from her eyes
The injustice I could relate ........

Life

Feeling free,
No need to flee,
Life's good,
Not being misunderstood,
Seeing only good.
Life, no Longer passing me by.
seeing life, through clear eyes
No, need to cry
So lucky to feel alive,
What a great vibe.
walk with my head held high
Feeling like I’m touching the sky.
Enjoying, my new life.
birds and butterflies
roses and dandelions.
Life's like a slice of cherry pie
Leaving me feeling high.

I see you ..........

She was just a lass
Of maybe fourteen or more
But there was something intriguing
I could not ignore
Twas the shape of her eyes
And the way her brow lay
What nationality was she
How could I say
Her skin was fair and fine
Her hair black as night
Freckles on her face
Threw me off to the right
Just then a lady sat down
And reduced my frown
A dead ringer for the girl
But two generations down
Small and petite
And not the same shape
But eyes said it all
They could not escape
Definetly Asian
For that I am sure
Beautiful eyes
And that Worldly door...........
