Who can tell, what lifts a normal day
Changing it quickly, to bright from grey
Whatever happens, inner sun warms
Lighting our face, as a smile is born
Hope springs to mind, important too
Every day we wake, HOPE on cue
Changes boring, to an excited path
Fairy dust, for animals and humans cast
HOPE so special, for old and young
Lifts spirits, like a special song sung
Makes normal days, change so quick
In a moments breath, as a clock ticks

I shuffle, and stumbled ,my gait missing steps.
My voice just a whisper..my lips they
Do tremble. And on again on again ,oft
Do I go, down to the river slow footed slow. And raising my arms I cried out "set me free" and off of my back my troubles did leave ,into the river , to all that Believe.

About this poem:
This isn't the first time I've written poetry. I like to try and capture my life, my struggles, my joys my laughter. But also emotions stirred up about people, things, places, thoughts, amusement, love and life. It's like art, in written form, hoping to grace my pages with wit, movement, character, clarity, and humor. Sometimes even conditions of the soul.

ONE DAY trumpets will sound . ONE DAY
The sky will speak with a thunder and ONE DAY will come
When all that is hidden will be seen and ONE DAY the earth will never be the same again.
ONE DAY....

About this poem:
My poem is about the return of JESUS. ONE DAY He will come and every knee will bow. I feel hopeful and excited to know this. To watch for this. To be ready.

If the person is created for you,
It is intended to you by destiny.
How many it would not leave,
It will be with you again.
Remember these words,
Also do not mourn on trifles.
People are brought together only by destiny,
It parts them on corners.

When I was in a dark place
lost in depths of sorrow
a bright light glinted at me
gleaming tugging me forward
as slowly my feet dragged me
towards it, it grew and grew
until I reached it at last
and was bathed, washed clean
that light led and guided me
from bitter black despair
surrounding my soul with love
the love of true friends
the light was all of you
reaching out to me
lightening my way
with words of hope
telling me with kindness
never fear we are here
to comfort you and let
me know I am not alone

Its heart wrecking ..sad and true,
Loneliness I feel that too,
Now because of you,
I'm chasing away my blues,
Last not least I saying Thank you!

Being responsible for our lives
Whether solo, husband or wife
Attitude, during every day
Defines outcome, in different ways
Blaming others, for experiences met
Can form a pattern, pathway set
Open thoughts and open heart
Gives a journey, its place to start
Guidance,from childhood helps
Wise counseling, caringly dealt
Till maturity, control is taken
Balanced emotions, not forsaken
Listening to others, can be good
But not blindly, wearing a hood
Hiding positive-negative thoughts
Doubts fester, unhappiness bought
Accepting some, are not friends
Mixed messages, so easily send
Common-sense, obvious route
It's life, outcome must us suit
Trust those, who make us smile
Staying close, over difficult miles
Sharing, good and bad times
In life's storms or sunny fine

one word to sum
a multiple plural not acronyms
fifteen hundred poets wax poetic here
crowd this kooky little corner
on this shrinking perfect sphere
I need one word to sum
-can't begin with an L
-can't end in -iss
photo and emojis are not one voice
and clumped all together
look like noise to me
I'll find one word to sum
fifteen hundred of you rattling the cage
you being plural are me understood
if I hijacked all the anima with care to
exclude none
turn the crank atop the winepress
my mission still would fail
and to fabricate the perfect word
costs more than twenty bucks
yet I need one word to sum
a placeholder is in order here
a temp worker minus the benefit plan
one to do the work of fifteen hundred
pays interest on the loan
I'd be just as pleased instead to trade
two dirts for every stone
more to the point on valentine's day
two embrace for every poems
and as to that -one word thing I was
all consumed about
I'm pleased to say this valentine's day
pleased to say I'm stuck!
[ happy ordinary days to everyone as well ]

The Pride of emptiness is an abomination. And to talk much is the foolishness of folly. Nevertheless, its a part of wisdom to hear with patience their ignorance and to pity their obserdity.

About this poem:
This poem describes a current state humans are in. We have reached a point in our evolutionary cycle where we speak without listening to others. We may even talk when others are talking and miss the entire subject matter or the moral to a story. Being silent twice as much as we speak allows one to fully hear, fully understand, and intelligently respond.

It was easily said --That unkind word,
That fell from my lips that morn.
But my little thought as away it sped,
Would tear someones heart like a thorn.
I did not mean it--'twas thoughtless, yes,
But it flew on it's onward track,
And my prayers and tears of all life's years
Can nevermore call it back!
It was easily said that kindly word ,
Spoke with a pleasant smile;
But it cheered a soul that was lone and sad,
And braved a heart for trial.
The strongest monuments crumble and break
And into dust decay;
But a kindly word will live on and on,
Though the speaker has passed away.
O let us be careful of each small word
We speak with but little thought,
That will carry a message of love away,
If we say the words that we ought;
And by and by when our lips are mute,
And our record of life is known,
The kindly words will shine forth like stars,
In the crown that shall be our own.
