“Beauty in the world seen through my eyes”

Have you ever seen a morning star
out in the distance afar?
Shining the brightest in dawn’s darkest hour.
Or how little diamonds from a rain shower
complements the full bloom of a flower?
How a rainbow paints the sky with an ambiance of color,
that can be rivaled by no other.
From ivory blankets of snow to seas of emerald green
the most captivating things of all that I’ve seen.
The one thing that makes my every day worthwhile,
is the glimpse of your angelic smile.

Who am I?

I will be Superman for my Lady when she needs me to be!
I will be a Big Teddy Bear for my Lady when she needs me to be!
I will be Dr. Phil for my Lady when she needs me to be!
Who am I?

I am her Prince Charming...

Peace Always

For all Elvis fans. #1

The Tupelo Teddy Bear.

Are you Lonesome tonight without True Love?
Is your Wooden Heart heavy with care?
Then just for Ol’ Times Sake, please read my story,
of the Tupelo Teddy Bear;
Many stories are told, each in Separate Ways.
Now in My Way it’s told through his songs.
It Feels So Right that I tell it this way,
for then in My Way I can right all the wrongs.

The Cotton Candy Land of the American South,
is from where the Teddy Bear came.
Way down in Memphis Tennessee.
It’s where Heartbreak Hotel came to fame;
Good Rockin’ Tonight it was all the rage.
And the Party was starting to swing.
And miss Polk Salad Annie, she was telling the world,
“This Teddy Bear, he sure knows the way how to sing”.

Now Colonel Parker, who was a Big Boss Man,
heard the Teddy Bear sing for his Ma.
Then he took him aside, with his Young Dreams and pride,
and said ”My Boy, I want to make you a star”.
The Poor Boy said, “Shake A Hand on that
but I Beg Of You, please, Treat Me Nice.
For soon I’ll be King Of The Whole Wide World,
then Fame And Fortune will demand a price”.

And true to his Words did he Follow That Dream.
‘Cause From A Jack To A King he rose.
Along the way doing GI Blues,
as a Soldier Boy Uncle Sam chose;
But then Trouble for the first time marred his dream,
when in his own Words he said,
“I Slipped, I Stumbled, I Fell like a baby,
when I heard That’s Alright (Mama) was dead”.

But with one Burning Love gently going out,
another had Come along in his life.
And to the Young And Beautiful Priscilla Beaulieu,
he said “How Would You Like To Be my wife”?
“Love Me Tender” was her sweet reply.
“Then All That I Am I’ll give free”.
And true to her Words she bore him a child,
a Baby named Lisa Marie.

But too soon Summer Kisses turned to Winter Tears,
for their marriage So High had gone low.
And then to his surprise she said “I Don’t Wanna Be Tied,
you Stop Where You Are, I’ll go;
He cried “Without Love (There Is Nothing).
You’re A Heartbreaker who’s so unkind.
Yet though you’re leaving me Indescribably Blue,
you’re still Gentle On My Mind”.

to be continued in a bit

This is an amazing discography of many of the Kings' songs.
I'm sorry if it's a bit too long for some.

JESUS...my rainbow (an original poem from a book of Inspiration that I published in 2016)

“I set my rainbow in the cloud…” (Genesis 9:13)
“…; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.” (Revelations 4:3)

When the storms of life are beating upon the frail fabric of my mind
I long for peace and rest.
My soul looks above the clouds unto the veil behind, hoping for a sign of His Presence because He alone knows how to calm the storms.
He alone knows my story.
He alone feels my pain.
He alone cares for me and can ease the strain of the burdens that I carry.
He alone can take away my sorrow,
And promise me a bright tomorrow.

HE IS JESUS… MY RAINBOW

State Of Mind

I'm in the wrong state of mind
Can't define the heart that beats next to mine
Can't define the rest of time
With your sweet lips upon mine.

Now it's getting dark
And we all get broken heart's
No matter what comes will go
And I'll miss your,
Handsome eyes, Lips upon mine
How our first kiss
Sent me in a state of bliss.

This was your test
I guess you weren't into it
I'm in the wrong state of mind
I miss your face
I miss your sweet taste.

I lie to get myself through
The state of mind I'm in
You sent my heart up in flames
Burning from your games
You played with my mind
Now I'm stuck in another place, another time,
Can't define your heart that used to beat next to mine.

It's just a dead silence
that defines the rest of time,
This is my state of mind.

I am not yours

I am not yours, not lost in you,
Not lost, although I long to be
Lost as a candle lit at noon,
Lost as a snowflake in the sea.

You love me, and I find you still
A spirit beautiful and bright,
Yet I am I, who long to be
Lost as a light is lost in light.

Oh plunge me deep in love -- put out
My senses, leave me deaf and blind,
Swept by the tempest of your love,
A taper in a rushing wind

Savannah Cafe

Voices mingle with the scuffle of shoes clicking,
and doors slamming shut.
The smell of coffee and cinnamon buns permeates
the air...
Movement...sound...senses rage in overdrive,
and yet still.
Questions of whether the coffee is actually tea,
or are these simply pancakes...just not so flat?

I recognize some of the faces from long ago,
especially the man in the glass.
He stares into my eyes without notice,
melancholy and mystery hovering close by...

It is his frozen voice that I mimic from time to time.
Standing to shuffle my way to the door and you
are here too, in the corner alone..
I had hoped you'd never find me here...
Slicing through plumes of blue smoke,
Your eyes invite me to sit with you.
I am near you now... settled in this booth,
and not alone.

STORY YOU JIVE

STORY YOU JIVE

Stories get bent and spun
some true to heart some well hung
some meanings from past
own reactive blast
can give off a spin doc
ship wrecked dung

some stories ring true stretched to flower
endow a moment sun shower
or quick wit spit whips
for impact brain hits
or ways to hold stage
for an hour

A story once spread to another
will end after many a smuther
come back like a dark dreaded streak
or enlightenment
through ...

trained mouths that speak

No matter a story told
stay tuned inner ear stay bold
take heed breed stay open alive
enjoy dreams
in your ...

story you jive

Collision of Minds

You think she dances
to your notes
which come
from a hatred pen.

Your simple mind
plays havoc without
reasoning and you
are not the only
hardship out there!

You feel helpless
amongst the truth
been shouted at you
and calling her a liar!

Give your heart a break
and submit that you
cannot stop thinking
of her; if her truth wouldn't be!

Go hide behind your exterior world
out there between mountains
and when at sea it will catch
up with you in the lonely hours at dawn

A man you suppose to be
but instead you are afraid
of your own inner fear of
allowing to be loved by me!

Her inner strength and all matches yours
and you know it. But is makes it
harder for you to let it be!

Go on! Fight it! Day and night!
No matter how hard you power lift
it won't get out of your mind
and heart because of her!

No matter how many you will date
nothing comes even close
to her magnitude and intellect
as her beauty and heart
will follow you wherever you are.

Dreams changing

While the wind and rain passing true
so it's our hopes and dreams changing and passing too.
When you get tired and feeling down from unfulfilled dreams
that slips away or just become too old to keep carry them on
like old shoes that needs to be repaired or thrown away for good,
so as you my friend renew your hopes, polish them and go out
into lanes and the fields,
listen and look at the birds still singing,
they didn't lost art of beautiful voices,
tree branches still waves to unknown passengers
and leaves changing collars,
falling down,
and growing again with each new season...
and just because you lost some dreams
the world didn't stop to go around
so it's you my friend that needs to replays old dream
and spread the new seeds in the world ...
