Waiting

How long is too long when the journey seem endless
When the odds are not in my favor, but I keep falling victim to time
Patience and grace will test your ability to call a truce
Is there an end to my waiting or is it a callous to my compromise?
Staying seem pointless, I ask myself can humanity triumph over pain?
I get absorbed with the misfortune of waiting it seems like a waste
Time waits for no one and we can never regain what’s lost
Resisting the fate of loosing is weaving its destructive path
I’m haunted by smiles on your face and the frowns in mine
The truth lies within, so I must make a choice
When I find my way back from this time wart, I will find my way back home

"2012" Questions

Theres a planet "Nibiru",
Some call it just " X ",
That leaves many scientists
and scholars perplexed,
Did it pass earths path?,
Sometime in her past?,
Did the dinosaurs dissapear?,
Because of the blast?,
Did a world wide flood,
Cover the globe?,
Did the Akkadians scribe
the information on gold?
Did the aztecs know,
And carve it in stone?
Atlantis, Lumeria,
Where did they go?
Are Aliens here?
Because "They" know its near?
Or should I forget my fears
And have another beer?,
Since nothing supposed to happen,
Till the end of next year!

trapped

if we could only escape
these days
the frantic ways
of so many
oh, to be able to finish a sentence
in spite of the hopelessness around us
imagine the breathing that could take place
not to mention clear thought
so don't mention it
I had the perfect love poem in mind
earlier
then folks arrived
it is no longer in mind
in fact, I've got an altogether different story now
...

Gone

My love is gone,
my life is gone,
where's that perfect fitting glove.

My brain is locked,
my gun is cocked,
my soul flows down the drain,

My coffin is oak,
my headstone's a joke,
nobody comes and visits.

I did this,
it was all my wish,
now I guess I'm finally free.

About this poem:
Although this poem might be a little morbid. I sometimes like to switch up the order of the rhyme.

4 days before Christmas

It's four days before Christmas
and all through the land
singles are surfing
as fast as they can.

Being alone on Christmas
is not a good thing.
Because when you're lonely
Christmas bells just don't ring.

So I wish everyone
a Christmas of cheer,
peace, hope and love
and a Happy New Year.

A Job

I'm back at that job again
The one I had from May 13, 2007
To December 18, 2008
It still scares the hell out of me
I worked in one area for Monday and Tuesday
I was put in a less scary area for Wednsday thru Saturday
The job is confusing
I can't figure it out
I worked it before
Spent one year and two months
I'm no further ahead than I was then
I go there feeling like a schmuck
Because I am in desperate need of some bucks
Can't get that fear out of my soul
Feels like my mind's in a blender and my heart has a hole
Why didn't I tough it out when I was a teacher
The place reeks of death and I can't shake that doomed feeling
I at least get off at 3:30 P.M.
For now at least
I know I should be appreciative that I at least have a job
And I do appreciate that I have money coming back again
I just wish I wasn't working for a buck less an hour
Than I did in 2007

About this poem:
Regretting my job decisions I have made in my life. I think really the thing that haunts me most is my acute shyness around people. It has plaqued me my entire life. I am jealous of people who have social skills and smarts with tools.

this time of year

my heart is breaking
shattering in pieces
another year alone
how can I bear to go on
to struggle through another year
this time of year hurts so much
as your birthday draws near
eight days older I was to you
once they flew pass
now each is like a year
filled with such pain
the emptiness too much
my soul split in two
times like this
I wish it had been me
how can I go on?
how can I live
in a world without you
such pain is too much
for my soul to bear
my grief is unending
no colours any more
birds I cant hear sing
just a lake of tears
so vast and unending

The dance

Not many women can stoke
My souls passion
Yet her voice echoed from a far
Country whispering midnight
Fantasies
Her skin against the tropical sun
Was pastel black to my weary eyes
I do not know the sorrows of her
Heart, yet I yearn to offer her a
Thousand kisses of sleeping dreams
She would have her dance and the
Magic lights of the night glowed upon
Cheeks hungry for the kiss
The music would surely woo the thirst
for taste and touch to fever pitch
The dance would slow to the inevitable
Staring of eyes in soul to soul
In the heat of primal passion words must
Be discarded for the penetration of moonlight
Fire
The dance would move to the sounds of
Crashing surf
To warm blankets
To cool sand and wines
Mirth
To a hearts shout for joy
To a momentary silence
To hot tears of connecting
Hearts
To a praise unspeakable
For love..now found.

Just smile

When times are tough
and things go wrong,
Just hold your chin high
and sing a song.
When friends aren't around
and your feeling down,
Keep yourself busy
and hold your ground.
You have no time to get things done,
Just relax and have some fun.
You failed at a job,
you gave it your best.
Just make time
and give yourself a rest.
You're so unsure and can't decide,
Just go with the flow
and ride the tide.

storys from the past

There was this girl,27 years ago, cant remember her name, always thought of her as the ice princess because she had those eyes. The ones that are not quit grey and not quit blue, almost colorless, just and edge of shade around the iris. She was one of the street rats like me,a little elfin blond that somebody had hurt, she wouldn't talk much, took months to gain her trust. Those kinda people don't like it,if you look at them, move to fast or point your body directly at them.We were never close but sometimes if I made extra cash hustling we would sit all night in G.W. writing poetry together. She liked the curly fries with ranch dressing and drank the ice tea ............much love.....elo
