The problem with incarceration is that too many people get locked up for non-violent crimes...rehab or medication management could provide a better way for people who have health challenges...not to mention housing solutions...people in tent cities are populations with drug or alcohol addictions or mental health issues...hardly a good way to survive and cope with the day to day struggles...
If people studied how to treat incarcerated individuals...humanely like the Scandinavian people try to achieve with low rates of people reoffending...that would be a positive step in finding a solution for the prisons being overpopulated and run down...not to mention dangerous...
Ann had a horrible childhood...not really surprised b her death...sad for he 2 boys...this can be looked at as a lesson...do not drive when impaired...perhaps she wanted to end her life?...Wish her peace...
Legalization has already happened...I thinking of Portugal...crime has dropped...changing from a money centric ideal to helping addicts ween of drugs...or at least functioning adults...able to work...get medical health if psychologically unwell...but nothing is perfect...a good way for other countries to see if legalization works...
I have always wondered why going green is so expensive...using trends to fatten their wallets...certified organic I thought was different...but always wondered about ground soil contamination as well...did not have to worry so much as a kid...we had a great garden and used no pesticides...fruit was canned for the winter and vegetables chopped up then frozen... The deer enjoyed the garden as well...
Yes I saw the other thread...I always thought protein deficiency would occur on a plant based diet if you don't do your research...being vegan can be difficult to do as well...organic food rather expensive...I live in the city...no vegetable garden at home...
Reminds me of Bush ...not knowing about the different religious groups...causing tension and creating strife out of ignorance...
Sometimes it is better to not interfere...or attain knowledge before commencing a plan...lives could have been saved if prejudice wasn't a factor in not allowing the Jewish people refuge in America and elsewhere...complicated...jmo...
I feel Isreal is acting like a spoilt child...they know what it is like being displaced...subject to inhumane treatment...Palestinians deserve a place to call home...
I thought you made good points and did not think you were fat shaming. I am not vegan but more lacto ovo...please excuse my spelling...lol...and I do like fish once in awhile...and I do buy leather...but willing to give up material coming from animals...
The OP sounds too self rightious...lighten up the conversation...enjoy your time here...OP
