Love – A term used in tennis instead of the word 'nil' or 'zero'. It is used to describe a lack of score in either points, games or sets. i.e. a game score of 30-0 is given as '30 love' and a set score of 6-0 is given as 'six love'.
For the life of me, I can't remember that detail. For their sake I hope not.
However, every time I make nachos, like I just did tonight, I wonder why I keep doing it. I don't like them that much. I bet I throw out the other half pack of corn chips in a few days, and tell myself I won't do that again... Then make more in 3 months and repeat the process.
It makes the milk she buys more expensive, I'm sticking to the $3.79 (AUD) stuff. Diesel maybe a few cents per litre more expensive, but hey we have universal health care and stuff that costs money (tax).
To compare properly, one would have to factor in the average wage, and average cost of living. We'd be streets in front, and a lot safer walking around. Just sayin'
We went from imperial to metric in the late 60's, so miles and gallons seem old fashioned to many here.
There are many different types and qualities of milk for sale here. Standard supermarket milk (the cheapest) is around a dollar(Australian) per litre, convert that to USD it's maybe 70 cents... Organic milk about double, goats milk about 4 times, camel's milk about $30 per litre...
This reminds me of the story about the young man who ended up in jail. He was put in a cell with a huge criminal dude covered in tattoos. The criminal says- we're going to do some role play, mummies and daddies, which do you want to be?... The young man thought about it, then deciding on the lesser of two evils, nervously says- The daddy.... The criminal says- Good. Now get over here and suck mummies dk...
