Its That Time Again For Me....Getting ready to get to the Truck Terminal..Pack it all In The Truck And Its Off I go Once Again
I Forgot to Post This Entry On The Last Blog I had Up

Coming out of the Budweiser Brewery In Newark New Jersey With A Load Of Beer....This car In back of me Was Blowing the Horn
It Came up to the drivers Side And there were 6 Guys In it All Yelling That i Was going To Slow
I Rolled Down my Window And yelled back
"Any of you Guys Drink Beer?"
And They Said They Did
And I Said..."Well..Thats What Im Hauling Right Now And Thats How It Ends Up getting To The Stores So You Can Just Pick It Up Out of The Cooler!!"....There Was Silence from Their End..And then One Of Them Said "Sorry About That"...(They Got An Education That Day)

One other Thing Folks
In The USA..Every 6 Days A Highway repair Man Is Killed On The Highway By People Who Dont Do What They Should Do While On The Highway
If You see A repair Going On On The Highway Ahead of You...Move Over Into The next Lane(If You can)And If you cant..Please Slow Down
Well Thats it Folks..I got To get a move On Now

Theres A trucking Company Called "On Time Trucking"(Ill Never Work For Them..Thats For Sure)
Goin Thru A Construction Zone(One Lane..Jersey barriers On Both Sides)And They Have A Sign Sayin "No Passing"...Really!!??
Aaaand On These One Lane Jobs Thaey Have Emergency Pullovers(But What do You Do if It Doesnt Happen At That Moment Of The Pullover?)
For All The Harrassing Of truck Drivers In Ohio By The Staties It Was Enjoyable To see An Ohio State trooper Changing his Tire On His Police car In The Pouring rain(Justice Was Served)
Then There Was A Little Mole Walking by My Truck When I was Stopped And I Got Out..Hes Blind So he Couldnt See me(I Couldve Stepped On Him..But I Watch Him Go On His Way Sniffing The ground As He Went On
Sometimes Along The Highway There Are sanctuaries For Wild Flowers.
As The Signs say for The Highway Workers "Do Not Cut"
Also Someone Planted 2 Sun Flowers inches from the Asphalt..(They Were About 3 feet High And Seemed To be Doing Well)
Along I 80 In Kentucky I Passed an Abandoned Drive In Theater(The Portable Speakers Were Gone And The Place Was In Decay(But I Still Could Picture It Filled Up With cars As They waited For The darkness to Fall)
Some Small Birds Were Harrassing A hawk As he Flew On His way(They kept pouncing on His back from Above Him
Saw A deer In The Distance Drinking From The Huron River(Nice Peaceful Sight To See)
There was A Dead Hawk On The Road..I Presume he Wasnt Flying High Enough And Collided With A Truck
1 Turkey Popped His Head Up As I Went by(Was He Watching Me?)
Aand A Sad Thing Was A cardinal Flapping On The ground In The Middle Of The Highway(Cars Everywhere)And His Mate Darting From The cars Trying To get To Him(Im Glad I Didnt see What happened After)
And Lastly And The saddest Of Them All Was
A Mother Duck(On The Line Of The Highway,,With her 5 New Born babies behind her In A Row
And As I Went by?
In The Mirror I could see her Walking Slowly On To The Highway..With The Little Ones Following...Im Sure I Know What happened And Glad I Wasnt There To See
Sometimes There Are Happy Things To See
And Sometimes There Are Things You Wish You Could Do Something ..But You Know You cant
But Thats How it When Your "On The Road Again"............

Well..Another Week is Over On The Road ..I Started At Seekonk Massachusetts..And Went To Detroit Michigan..From There..IWent To (Holy) Toledo Ohio..Then It Was On To Shelbyville Kentucky...Then To Glasgow Kentucky...And Then All The Way back To W Wareham Massachusetts..And Then To Dighton massachusetts..And Then back to Seekonk Massachusetts..Im back LONG eNOUGH fOR A 34 hOUR RESTART oF mY 70 Clock(Thats How long A driver Can Work In A 7 Day period)
Anyway..Along The way..These Are Some of The things I Thought Were Worth Noting
The First Thin I saw Was A Baby Deer That Didnt make it to The other Side of The Highway(Iguess The Mother Waited For him To get Up..And Then Finally Had To Leave him)..How sad I Thought...Then i came Across A Pheasent Just Walking Along The Highway...
Came Across 5 Red headed Vultures Fighting Amongst Themselves over Another dead Deer In Pennslyvania
Somebodys Missing A little Brown Poodle In Ohio..Hes Laying There Dead Along the Highway 80..And Aalso In ohio When Somebody gets To Their destination..They Will Ber Missing 1 Shoe(Its in The middle of the road...
And The Birds Have Figured Out That At truck Stops..All They have To Do Is Pick The Bugs Off The Radiators of The Trucks When They Are Fueling(theyre Smarter Than You Think
Heres A Good Name For A Road In Ohio(Needmore Road)
Coming North On I 71 In Kerntucky..at The top Of A Steep Grade..There She is..A Full View In All Her Glory.."Cincinati"(Now..Its Anothger Story To get by This City Though)40 Minutes
Did You Know That Highest Point On Route 80 is In Pennsylvania?(2,250)...
And In Southern Ohio Theres A Route 666(ImNot Ever Driving On That Road)
The Last Thing You Want In Your Truck is AJumping Spider..He Landed On My Arm(Scared The hell Out Of me..And Then Jumped Away(Im Sure hell Be Back to Do it Again)
IN kentucky I Came Across One of Those Amish Guys Riding In His 1 Horse carriage(All Dressed In Black)
And Why (because Theres An Aciident On The OTHER Side of The highway)Does There have To be A Log jam on The Side Thats Accident free?(There Outts be Law For this
And Finally..There Are bThe Ones I call "The Special People"..
They Come On The Highway(They Dont look) And AtbThe lastbMoment They Slam On Their brakes because Theres a Tractor trailer there..Then They catch up To You And yell And give you The Finger because "You Didnt let Them In"(Uh..I Thought vehicles On The HighwayHad The right of Way;;Or Am I Missing Zsomething here?
And To Top It All off...Somebody Lost bPart Of their Load Id say;;Thousands od Pairs of Ladies Underwear(In Every Color)All Along The Road........................

Out There On The road Driving A Tractor Trailer..There Isnt nothing Else To Do But See Things..And You never Know What Your going To Se or What Might be Just Around The Corner of The Road.....Some of The Things I Saw Were Not Nice At All To See..Other Things You Wish You Didnt see And Somethings Were Just Down Right Funny...
In Missouri..At A Truck Stop..I Saw A Pure Black Either Coyote Or A Fox..It Was hard To tell As He Was out in The field And The way It Looked...He had a Destination In Mind
Also In Missouri..They have Signs...One Sign Going On A highway Read.."No Self propelled Machinery".."No Horse back Riding"And At The bottom of the Sign It Said.."No Parades"

Another Sign In Missouri Said.."Watch For Fog")Uh..Aint That What All Do When driving is Watch?)
In Indiana There was A Sign That said.."Free Billboard".."Call For details"(For Some Reason I Dont Think Its Going To be Free)
One Night There was A "Blood Red Moon"The following Morning The Sun Was Red For A Good Portion of The day(Id Suspect Pollution)
And Then There Are The Burnt Out Cars That Are nothing But Shells of What They Used To be....Turned over Tractor trailers Waiting to be Righted Again(A Lot of drivers falls Asleep At The Wheel And Die This Way
And Then There Are The dead Animals That Attempted To Cross The highway(No Matter What The Animal is Crossing The Highway(If ur In A Tractor Trailer..U Have No Choice but To Just keep Going)..If You try to Stop Or Swerve out of their Way..Chances Are you Will End Up Hurt real Bad Or Dead(Moose Are the Worst)Hit One of Them And you Will have Your vehicle Demolished
Then There Are the sad sites..Like very Tiny Cages Out There In The Fields Were A Young calf is in And Its So Small it cannot m0ve At All(if You eat veal..Think About That poor little calf Who cant move So he Will be tender to Your taste
here And there Will be Very Small cemeteriesWith A few headstones (Id Think Theyre from A Long Time Ago)
All Along The Highways you will See crosses And memorials Put up For Those Who Died There In Crashes(A Good remender To us Who Are still Alive
One Bumper Sticker Said.."Dont Follow".."Pursue"
The Cheapest Motel Sign Along The Highway Was.."Marys Motel"$29.95
Then There Are The names of Places..."Lords Valley".."The Promised Land And "Dingmans Ferry"..To say Just A few
Sometimes The Timing Cant get Anybetter When You see A Hawk Just hitting His Prey In The High Grass Along The Highway
And Sometimes The Timing cant be Any Worst When You see "Mama Duck Crossing The Highway With her babies In A Line In back of her(And you Know Thge rest of The Story
I Even saw One Woman truck Driver Stop And let her "Todo" Type Dogs out To Do What They had to Do.."All Four of Them!!!"
And not To Forget The Numerous groundhogs Living On The Sides of The Highways Just Standing There And looking Around
Some Signs Will Say.."Moose Crossing".."Deer Crossing" And I Even Saw One That Said "Turtle Crossing"(Thats A Long Wait)
Well..Thats About It For my 1st week Out
I Only get 34 Hours off In A Week..So Its back On The Road Tomorrow once Again
This Time I Have to Go To Detroit To Start off With(Dangerous Place To Go)
But The people need Their Goods
And Its us Guys And Women That Risk Life And Limb To get it There on The Shelves For You
So..Thank A truck Driver once In A While
After All..Without Them ..Most people Wouldnt Have A Job
Because..Truck Drivers Are "The Economy"
Got To get ready To leave Tomorrow in 14 Hours

I Have Come to The Conclusion That "CS" Has Always been "A Day In A Life"..A Day In my Life Anyway...A Life Within A Life
No..To Be Honest.."CS" Is Another Home For Me
And Like In Any Home Theres Always happiness..Sadness..Bickering And Fighting...Where Some People Like you And Some People Dont

Today I Have Awakened In "Massachusetts"...And Within 3 Hours of this Blog..Il Be "On The Road Again"...Ill be Going To Sleep In Ohio..Wake up In Ohio And Then Go To Sleep In Missouri..Then Ill Awaken In Missouri And Its On To Kansas For a Monday Morning Delivery There
Then Pick Up Another Load And bring it All The Way Back To Assonet "Massachusetts"
And Ill Do All Of This within A 6 Day Window of Time
So Its Back To..18 Times Below Me
Be Back Next Thursday(For Those Who Even Care Of Course)(And If The "Man Upstairs" Wills it)
