anyone got some Kindle suggestions?

I was just adding books to my profile, will add a few more every day. It made me think, though, some of you travel a lot, you'd maybe have some suggestions for reading on the plane?

I hate flying (definite downside of being in LDR relationships) so much that I have to take Valium to cope with the crowding and claustrophobia. Finding books that are interesting even when I'm doped, but not too complicated, funny but not laugh-out-loud-in-public, is a big problem.

Suggestions? I really like writers like Sue Grafton, if that helps, light thrillers. No erotica (don't want to be blushing on the plane) and I really loathe romantic misunderstandings and heart-searchings, they give me anxiety attacks. laugh

Start a jar

Not always easy to remember all the good stuff that happens in a year.

There was one suggestion I liked on Facebook ... write a quick note every time something good / fun / nice happens and put it in a jar ... then at the end of the year read the notes to remind yourself...

I wish you all a 2015 filled with enough good things to fill a really BIG jar!

I am 86% compatible with myself. Oops.

Still laughing, I set up a quiz the other day just out of curiosity (just call me the Elephant's Child) and a CS friend took it, got 86% and sent me a message asking where he had gone wrong. So I took it myself, my own quiz, and also only got 86%.

Anyone know a good shrink?

I just pulled big-time

Hey, I just scored, reunion this eligible 57 year old dish took one glance at my profile and he is in raptures.daydream He is so besotted by my smile I went to check my pics again in case one of a film star had slipped in there by mistake. rose in teeth

Hmm, I'm not really smiling. Well, he also loves my bio. He felt instant rap ore (sic) (no other spelling errors and hey, he's German, one slip is completely understandable. Germans are usually very accurate, we all know that. And reliable and trustworthy). Just wanted to let you lot know before I dash off to book the cake and the wedding venue. If I'm quick maybe I can get a Valentine Day cancellation. gotta go Or should I double-check we really are soulmates on skype? I've got his email and skype address ALREADY, he's definitely the open honest type, nothing to hide.

That's the expected response, right? rolling on the floor laughing

girls just want to have fun

SINGLE BLACK FEMALE seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I'm a very good girl who LOVES to play.

I love long walks in the woods, riding in your pickup truck, hunting, camping and fishing trips, cozy winter nights lying by the fire.

Candlelight dinners will have me eating out of your hand. I'll be at the front door when you get home from work, wearing only what nature gave me.. Call 01637 881455 and ask for Annie, I'll be waiting.

bah humbug

So the NHS has scheduled my biopsy for 5 minutes before Christmas which not only means I can worry* about the results over the entire festive season, it has properly mucked up any travel plans I would normally have made. I’ll spend it writing, instead, see how far I can mine my imagination. typing

If money and distance were no object , if anything you could dream up was possible – what would you do over the festive season?

Hot debate, I need your vote

So, he's getting texts and messages and phone calls and invitations and I don't know what all else, from women who have been in his life and are still vaguely interested. Women do like to keep tabs on all potential men in the neighbourhood, we all know that.

I say: tell them that you're enjoying your relationship, it's going well, it's fun, we're cool. cool They'll back off. If you don't, they'll assume we're ending or over.

He says: it's none of their business, they know I'm in a relationship, that's all they need to know. If I talk about everything else under the sun, but won't talk about you or us at all, they know it's going well.

Erm .....................

It isn't a trust thing, by the way. It's a complete inability to see each other's point of view. I KNOW I'm right. He KNOWS he is.

Back me up, go on, take my side rolling on the floor laughing

Is the same true for guys?

Comment spotted today on Facebook:

Most men aren't smart enough to realize that the better you make your woman feel about herself, the less available she is for other men.

When you run her down, you make her accessible to anyone she thinks will treat her better.

Guys? true for you too? It has been my experience in the past that the more I boost my guy, the more he believes he's the business - and could pull any woman he wanted doh

Which was a bit irritating. Go find those mythical women, then, bud. Bye!
