Iam not getting paid for this although if I'd get something, it would be greatly appreciated.
Suntory is one of the factories I have to pass in an industrial site in going to work. I admire that company. One thing, they hoist the Jflag with their company flag. It's always up in the morning on my way to work and gone in the evening. I admire nationalistic entities. Just don't know but I have this romanticize view of flags. Maybe it was developed back in my high school days. My high school was along Juan Luna street in Manila and all the jeepneys, buses and even people, literally stopped at attention until the Phil anthem was finished. I wonder if it is still practiced now. Maybe times have changed.
The lid was opened for us to take a peek for the last time. When the staff decided the time given was enough, he proceeded to close the lid but my son quickly slipped in his prized fatigued hat and placed it over his dad's. So simple an act and so timely for Father's Day. I cried for I know he's battling some kind of emotion despite of that coolness.
This morning on my way to work, I decided to try a shorter route just to avoid seeing the small dog poos. It would require me to jump 30 cms down. Had a bad fall and suffered from some scratches. Yesterday on my way to work(had an overtime job even in Sunday), I stepped on one. You see, I have this dilemma on dog poos. When I happened to touch on one last cleaning day, I was offered a job the following day. Hence, I thought, What could have happened if I'd touched each of the poos I'd be passing along my way. But for now I have to suffer a bit of pain from a bad landing. Ouch, ouch!
Will I ever learn!
Every second Sunday of the month is a clean up day here in the apt complex. If you don't show up a fine of 1000 yen is meted out. Aside from saving the amt, it's a time to mingle and get to know your neighbors and show one's cooperation. If it rains or snow hard then it's cancelled. Yesterday was just one of those days. Each group is assigned different areas every month and I chose to start on a stretch with tall grass. Alas, I never saw beforehand that there were 3 small dog poos one after another. I'm a dog lover and I understand that there are some people who need companionship in any form yet aren't responsible enough. In this housing, there's a big board saying pets aren't allowed. Yet some do have. I believe in live and let live but it's just a nuisance since I happened to touch the first one as it was hidden in the grass. I was wearing a gloves but I still I felt awful then.
