For several days in a row, I've been assigned to a line whose line leader is a fellow Pinay from a different employment broker. To be exact, three times in the past, she made some overtures re money. One was last Dec when she was about to leave for the Phils. She said then that if one won't lend her money, she'll be very disappointed. Though she said that inside the cafeteria during our midnight meal, no one was around within our vicinity to hear it. I just kept my silence then. I just thought why would she book a ticket for Mla ahead of her salary time. Hers and my payday are different because we belong to diff brokers. I receive mine a week earlier than hers. and she was about to leave days before she received hers and days after I've received mine. The second time was when she noticed I've changed glasses. I don't normally wear one except for inspection work or reading. She asked me where did I buy them with a lingering look or so I thought. The third was when she shared that one of her daughters based in the Phils has become a real estate agent and she outrightly asked me if I want to buy a condo unit from her daughter. I pointblank said no. How could I? I've been raised in Metro Manila and the unit is in Cebu. I don't have the means yet to waste here and there. To be frank the house of my parents in Bulacan has been without anyone for decades now and we've been paying for its tax till now. I've just noticed that she'd been all over me whenever I'm in her line. And there was a change in the way the Jleaders in her line treat me or so I think. They simply just don't know the root cause why her eyes are all over me. To think that her Jlanguage is worse than I. Good thing their Jleaders are patient and kind. She must have forgotten how she would cry a river every time the Jleaders would tell her mistakes (which to my mind isn't to demean her but so as she can make her work better) just to generate sympathy. And how she would bashed her Jleaders and her broker in the past. And now that she'd learned to be a better worker in her line, she's treating me as if I'm dumb. I haven't told anyone just yet. But the way she talked to me with stiff voice which is entirely different from the way she talk to the others. Just can't help but be dismayed. If only the others would know then they'll understand the why. For now, my little mistakes are magnified and even my rest time is being watched. I just can't help but asked up to when will the Jgovt give out visas to people like her. Her and the others who want to escape poverty and violence from their town only to bring their own kind of "violence" in their work places!
