Changing my description, sigh

I've described myself as "a few extra pounds" from the start but I could always have stood to lose a stone (that's 14 pounds, or 6 kgs, for the rest of you) but now I've put up a new current picture and damnit who am I kidding. Weight has crept up and a bit more up this winter, another half stone has slid quietly into place, and not even I can see 20 pounds as a few. My bra does not capture everything that drops down my front so I can't go for voluptuous or curvy and I'm seen fat and I'm not that. So many words - plump, portly, chubby, well-padded, pudgy, chunky, stocky, zaftig, corpulent ... don't like any of them.

So nothing for it but a bit of fun dieting.

Aw Ish hug - er that wasn't an attempt to get between you and Molly uh oh

You make a lovely couple but she's a bit tall for you laugh
Biff you are welcome to get between us when ever you want. They say the more the merrier.

Molly I would never post it.
It's a pity Mimi isn't online. She should be here too. It's like a reunion joy
Rubenesque?

Anyway weight smeight. Tortoises lie around all day and barely move, and they live to 150 or something. You're fine.

But if you REALLY want to lose weight. Two magic words: Intermittent fasting.

Does it work? Yes.
Is the treatment worse than the disease? Also yes.
It's been a busy 3 years from the first time, for sure never guessed that the second I would moving in, not visiting cool
Biff, at least you just went and did it. Many people consider it but don't for whatever reason. You did.
StillNot, Rubens would plutz at the chance to have me as a model. Or Titian, I even have the hair colour for Titian, and the shape is pretty near spot-on. Hey! nothing wrong with my figure, I'm just in the wrong century!

And yes, intermittent fasting thumbs up I do think it's the best, and in an odd way the most natural
We need to do a meeting in Ireland.
Wonder what Maps upto.
I'm up for that yay
Molly, no regrets. Tell you what, though, I've been watching some New Life In The Sun episodes lately and if I had watched those before, I'd never have done it, I've been incredibly lucky wow

Couple of times I'd have crashed and burned without Z, too. I'd phone him almost in tears and he'd work out how to solve the problem, then get it sorted. He should be an adviser on that show!

wine
Biff, it would have been a different experience without Z being there.
Having back up like that is priceless.
Hi Nota wink
The undersell. Must be a belter laugh
Let us not forget the weight shedding benefits of simple aerobic exercise 20 minutes a day 3x a week. smile
Who's Robert Crumb? wow laugh
Aerobics for 20 minutes 3 times a week is brilliant for your health, but will do almost nothing for weight loss.
Eleg

Healthy is a word I would use...not wanting to be like some of the anorexic women we see out there...nothing wrong with curves...thumbs up
Ken, yup, did a Zumba workout x 20 minutes x 3 to 4 times a week for about 5 years and yup, as the weight comes off you shape up nicely. I stopped during the 6 months of building work and have been trying to get back into it again.

And yes I know, do or do not, there is no try.

I will start tomorrow! Before teaching? no, I'll be red in the face for class. After teaching is when I have my first meal of the day, and walk the dog, and -

No more excuses. Do or do not.
Try Hiit, it's recommended for women our age.
Ish I tried either that or something very similar a few years ago, when I used to take the dog for longer walks in quieter places. Quick sprint, walk, quick sprint. Wow, I thought, this is easy! Brilliant! Well I thought that after the first sprint. Flagging after the second. Dog had to eventually drag me home laugh boy does the impact mount up wow

I will go onto higher protein, smaller meals, my comfort-level of fasting, housework at Hiit levels, zumba, and post a full length photo of the spectacular results in, well, a little while.

head banger
I was having a bit of fun with units of measurement that to me are both odd and perfectly logical.

(I did lose about 30-35 lbs though, hence the two misplaced stones)
If you can do Lloyd of that, Biff, your daughter won't recognise the goddess in front of her in Junedancing
Lloyd? wow

All even roll eyes
I believe in you Biff. Like I said if you can pack your house and change your life like you have . You can do anything.
im right there with ya....im in the throws of the dreaded menopausal spread....I still love every inch of my voluptuous frame tho.....bouquet
