Kitchen fails and a big surprise!

I had a go at making nachos today, since that was supposed to be my dinner (which you already know, since you read my previous blog. Right? RIGHT?)

Anyway, I thought I made THE best nachos EVER, with the chicken strips mixed together with the cheese. I shoved that badboy in the oven, at 180 degrees, because someone told me I should do that. They also said, I had to give it 15 minutes, and then the cheese would be melted, and all would be good in the hood.

It wasn't..

The cheese hadn't even melted halfway. We are talking 180 degrees (Celsius, naturally), at which point the cheese SHOULD have been melted - but for some reason it wasn't. The cheese I got had "Melts easily. Perfect for oven-based dishes (OVEN BASED, like nachos), pizza and pasta" written on the bag.

LIES AND DECEIT, I tell you! Lies!!

Did I mention that the cheese wasn't melted? Because it wasn't, and I was getting hungry!

So, now you probably wonder "Did he use too much cheese?" ....I might have.. No wait, there is no such THING as too much cheese! Shush, you know it's true, Karen!

Anyway..!

I gave the nachos 30 minutes, and then I pulled them out of the oven. What greeted me was half-melted cheese, some of it was burned. I tried to taste it, but it just tasted off. Something was very wrong with the cheese.

Which is where the big surprise comes in: The cheese I picked was THE WRONG CHEESE! I was supposed to get creamy, gooey mozzarella, but I ended up with something that resembles cheese. It's labelled as pizza topping, but it's terrible. I thought I had done my due diligence on that, but no. Next time, I will ONLY use mozzarella!

Biggest single kitchen fail to date!

Sidenote: My meatballs were excellent, as usual!

Turn the gas oven on but don´t light it, next, marinate your head for a good 30 mins or until you´ve passed out
