"We see no reason for you to have a full day off because you need to attend a job interview"

Those were the words from my temp agency.

For context: I applied for a retail job, and I am supposed to attend a job interview on Monday, at 2 pm. I then called my temp agency, and asked for the day off, to prepare and fully nail it. One other reason for me to wanting a day off, is that I get incredibly sweaty at my temp job, and there are no means of showering there. So, if I am not getting Monday off, I will have to attend my job interview, drenched in sweat. Now, I don't know about you, but I really don't think it's a good look, if someone arrives to a job interview, bathed in sweat, smelling up a storm.

Anyway, I called the temp agency today, to call in sick because I am feeling a bit under the weather. In these corona days, I am taking absolutely zero chances. This is how the conversation unfolded. Employer is E, M is me:

E: "Hello, thank you for calling *employer*"

M: "Morning. I am calling in sick. I am a bit under the weather, sadly"

E: "Oh, that's not good. What about Monday?"

M: "I will do everything I can to be able to be fit for fight on Monday"

E: "Alright. Well, I haven't figured out about if you can get Monday off, but there is no reason for you to have a full day off, since it affects the client. But I will get back to you later with an answer"

M: "Alright, fantastic. Thank you"

E: "Goodbye"

Something tells me, that I REALLY need to nail that job interview on Monday!
