The older more experienced wiser officers are getting the vax.
The healthier, more rebellious youths are more hesitant to do so.
Unfortunately, some will learn the hard way and some never will.
If the Corps had determined the vax would improve its ability to carry out its Mission, the Corps WOULD Be vaxed - No Options.
It May be that the Corps has reservations regarding Long Term untoward effects -
Should such effects come about, keeping 40% of Marines UNvaxed would prevent the Entire Corps from being affected.
One Might say they're Not putting All their Marines in One Basket.
Presumably, the Corps is aware of alleged untoward effects of the anthrax "Experimental Vaccine".
Thus, neither are the armed forces.
Of course, some people will fantasize other reasons.
The differences between "Private Citizen" & the Military are Many a Lot.
Military personnel don't have the same personal choices as civilians.
The "thus" in such reasoning is kinda Silly.
The Marine Corps Not wanting All its Marines in One "Experimental Vaccine" basket makes some Sense.
They may Well be monitoring the vax for untoward effects -
Essentially using the Civilian population as Guinea pigs.
