GUNS!!!!

Guns are perpetrators NOT criminal scum
to pretzel ideology we'll never succumb
2ND Amendment liberal's thirst to negate
Republics Constitution they yearn to eradicate

Reason behind confiscating our arms nefarious
infantile arguments never veer from hilarious
Guns shooting themself has certain appeal
Pistol gangs eliminating real gangs ideal

Guns mostly irrelevant in unspeakable crimes
black folks maliciously perpetuate olden times
Stop demonizing the poor innocent guns
In DC mendacity delivered in tons

Guns can't kill their handlers do
advocate intrepidly about all things true
Don't fear indoctrinated fools called 'Woke
on social bullshit they'll inevitably choke

'We The People' shan't relinquish protection
for America and her Patriots preservation

I would rather have a gun and never need it than not have a gun and need it.

The lunacy of blaming guns for crimes committed makes as much sense as letting killers out of prison because they didn't kill, the gun killed.
So, if having heaps of guns reduces gun crime, there must logically be much less gun crime and mass shootings etc., in a country with heaps of guns right?...

It's complex logic, but can you see where this is headed?
pat8lanips: Guns don't kill people...people kill people using a gun.

I hope it shoots you; see how you like it.
Guns are also designed to defend law abiding people. People who use guns for purposely killing other people are criminals.
With the exception of school shootings I doubt if gun crime is associated with licenced firearms in the USA. In Ireland we have gun crime with handguns which aren't available to buy or licence.
Without the availability of guns we have a ready supply of knives. We had a city called 'stab city'.
We also had crossbows until they were banned.
As a last resort we still have baseball bats and hurleys or maybe longbows.
So the problem is more complex than the tool. We expect a lot from civilization. The root cause is possibly individual defective mental health.
Another point of view i agree on..

Its not the tool!!
But the person that use the tool...

I can understand it. When you've grown up in a country where guns are readily available to anybody and his dog, and so embedded in the culture, owning one is going to be second nature to you. But when you've grown up in a country where people are strongly prohibited from owning guns, it isn't so surprising that you think the idea of allowing the general population to own them is plain crazy.

It's a bit like our health service in reverse. Most Americans seem to feel that it's crazy to give people medical treatment based on their need, rather than their ability to pay for. But when you have been used to a system where you get the treatment you need, free at the point of contact, regardless of whether you are a millionaire or homeless and living on the street, you tend to regard it as unthinkable for it to be any other way.
Only in the US:

How many of you people who are passionately defending the right to have a gun have ever actually needed one? Is living in the USA really so risky? What do I know? I don't live there, but letting the general public own guns just seems like insanity to me. confused
In general I don't like guns. I do not believe that we are safer from each other by having guns.

For me the right to bears arms is for shooting cops and soldiers. When the institutions and the government itself have gone bad. They're the means to fight tyranny not to keep order, or at the very least tyrants are restrained by the threat of revolution.
- when, swords - etc lol
This is a bit far fetched imo. Tyranny can be fought without having thousands of people murder each other while awaiting the tyrant to establish his/her tyranny. For example, tyranny can be fought the way the IRA did, or even better, the way Mahatma Gandhi did.

dunno
Leftists of their time which was a time before Marxism. The founding fathers were that hopeful, positive view of human nature that says you need less whip hand. The opposite psychology to those who watch true crime tv shows constantly. Always viewing the worst of civilians so that police and state power become much more justified. The founding fathers were the opposite of that.
I think Tyranny mostly will be fought with information.
When a majority understand a revolútion needs to take place then the tools will be found.
Besides, it's pretty naive to think the gun industry over there will accepet limitations, so the 2nd is secure.
I agree Ted that today (having the US in mind) that corruption is the larger problem,
read lobby. How that is not illegal beats me. We euro folks have more than two parties.
It's like manU - Liverpool constantly over there.

Nice unifying folks like Tulsi and Trump gets today too little space.
It's how the establishment wants it mate.
But at least we got Fox news.
A beacon of hope.
What has this all got to do with guns? Not much. lol
And that is the irony of the founding fathers. They were leftists who broke with tradition through faith in the people building a new society that had never been done before. They were revolutionary, not reactionary. The cops and soldiers of their time were the redcoats.
Leftists,hmm?rolling on the floor laughing
re-writing History again,hey Ches?wow
Relatively speaking it might not be too far fetched as todays left is beyond any measure. More trad left he has in mind I suppose, radical and all dunno

Radical for Freedom is definitely not a Left position!
The Founders Philosophy also is not of the Left!
Will not argue against that.

But I think I understand what Ches had in mind.
Even if it was incorrect pr def.
He tried to describe that that the founding fathers was
thinking out of the box of that day n age.
Some people even became a person in the legal sense
that had not been one before.
Its Going to make a bit of a mess but it will do its job nicely...
