Believing in God saves you? From what?

Some people think that if you believe in a god then you are saved. What are you saved from I wonder? Perhaps it's better not to be saved and enjoy what you are doing. After all, who would want to exist in any possible after life and encounter people you hated in this current world.cheers

Aborigines talk of rainbow serpent and how the gods came down and gave knowledge. Built stone formations like stone henge in England. But Australian gov at time destroyed these artifacts. Yet they still carry out ceremonies to pay respect to their gods.
Showing your ignorance there big fella... Which Aborigines, what sites, and where was your misinformation sourced?

The rainbow serpent WAS the creation spirit, according to many different groups. Pretty much every landform had a story behind it, though not totally uniform as there were hundreds of language groups.

I seem to recall the resident halfwit Serb would spout this kind of nonsense when he had nothing to add.

You obviously don't know anything about historical evidence in Australia. Are you a holidaymaker there? Pretending to be Australian?
Haha yeah sure, you're very funny. Maybe the meth isn't working so good for you.

But if you do have questions I can probably answer them, without google or whatever.
Four day annual festival in Australia called rainbow serpent festival.
Bora ring of stones in South East Australia.
Hope that improves your knowledge.

Parsnips..... If I can be any further help in your education, don't hesitate to contact me.thumbs up

Sadly it does not. My knowledge is a lot more detailed than a google search.

But I'll humour the idea in case I might learn something....

Four day rainbow serpent festival where? (it sounds like red hair blue eye Canberra stuff).

Bora grounds in SA, Ok but there are literally thousands of bora grounds around the country. I'm guessing you mean the prohibited area, British nuclear tests in the 50's... Other places the bora grounds are still used for that purpose.

Your hopes are dashed, I know more about these things than a lot of folks that identify that way. And a thousand times more than you can find on google. But it is good that you are at least thinking about it.

So, if you have questions just ask, I'm happy to answer, or find out what I don't know.
Parsnips .... You had to look all that up because you hadn't got a clue otherwise. Well, you've learned something new now. It's good for you to find out about your history. Well done.

Sheesh, your really convincing, somewhere, some place. just, completely wrong subject to campaign about. Be better if it was English kings and queens or something you may have knowledge of.
Parsnips .... Queen Elizabeth 2, of Australia. British Commonwealth.

Yep, Titanic.
Crown, I had the most adventurous experience in Australia that I almost considered moving there. What's so impressive is how they (aborigines) seem to be so contented in their parallel existence with the immigrants. Their art is most amazing. I love their art.

Anyways, Sydney is very similar with San Francisco where I lived for the last 38 years. Queensland is very similar to the tropical Philippines. Beautiful and lovely. Daintree so naturally preserved. bouquet
Wtf is this fruitcake talking about? I actually live here, it is nothing like that. In any sense, a complete fabrication.
LJ.... Years ago, I almost migrated to Australia. I chose Queensland, mainly because of the weather. A drastic change from England, but in the end I decided against. I often wonder what would have happened if I had gone. But life is full of decisions and reflections on what a person should have done with the knowledge gained in life.
dunno sigh sigh
Are you sure you're not avatar like the OP said?

Oh I feel your agression is way too deep Parsnips...

You live there? I doubt it. I'd agree more with Crown that you're a programmed fabricant.rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
Things happen for a reason Crown. I lived in Switzerland and went to England and took some classes at St John's college in Cambridge. I had all the choices but decided to settle in the US as it seemed very interesting and economically powerful then for Hardworking immigrants. My grandfather and uncles as well as my mom are all war veterans and Filipinos before 1950 was an open country. The Philippines would have been a state before Hawaii but failed in the ratification.
LJ.... A programmed fabricant is good description. I like that.

Crown do you like good movies? Watch Atlas CLOUD. Very intriguing and intellectually challenging. Not to mention how your spirituality is shaken.

Jim Broadbent is amazing on this movie. Let me know how you feel about it.
Tep Fabricant, they described those robots in the said movie and here's the thing, you'd not be able to differentiate with the real humans.
