Not punishment enough in my opinion
A woman in Brazil has been charged with attempted murder after she admitted chopping off her husband’s p*nis and flushing it down the toilet, once she found out he had had sex with her 15-year-old niece. The woman handed herself into police and has explained how she found out about the man’s cheating with the 15-year-old relative and lured him into bed, tied his arms and legs and cut off his p*nis with a razor.

I guess it didn't matter if her husband had a reason or if the young girl had a reason, because his wife's reason came with rope and a razor.
What happened to her? Just curious. You don't say. W.
Various news sources describe the s*xual offense as cheating, a relationship, bedded, sleeping with, an affair. These are wholly inappropriate ways of describing the abuse of a 15 year old girl by a 39 year old man.
Neither is it appropriate to cut off someone's p*nis, relish in the story, nor sensationalise it in the media.
How are we to address child sex abuse if it's exploited for entertainment? Isn't that exploiting the child twice with a complete disregard for the impact on her?
Maybe try reading my first comment again.
Maybe look at the calibre of the article you cited and of the other news outlets that reported this event.
but as always feel and comment as you wish
For all the comments tutting about spreading the story, I imagine a few cheating husbands who read it are thinking things like "would MY wife get that upset about me screwing one of her relatives? Is it a bad thing to do?" or "Maybe I should either keep mine safe in my pants or leave her BEFORE I start screwing round?" or even "Maybe 15 year old girls are off-limits?" and other thoughts that might not have crossed their minds before.
On the facts of the case as we know them, she's psychotic, he's an absolute arse, or, if he forced the niece, should have been smothered, not just given a Bobbitectomy.
Not sure how I would have reacted in the same situation, I know my rage would have been huge, but I'd have more likely been arrested for bludgeoning him to death, nothing like as newsworthy as scheming to get him helpless before mutilating him.
I HAVE noticed women are treating their men with impatient contempt while said men scuttle round trying to placate and soothe them. This was not the right way to grow a pair, boys. Women are becoming psychos.
Wanker.
Should attempting to control all women's behaviour s*xual through the threat of gross violence be a social norm?
It would make me think twice
CS being CS, I should explain that while that response is certainly true it was not meant seriously

No.
In fact what I intended to imply in at least part of my comment was that rage, while regrettable, is one thing, but scheming to mutilate a cheating partner (men OR women) is pretty far off the rational scale. Physically punishing a cheating partner by sourcing, then throwing, acid, in their face, for example, is also not reacting in a rage. It is sick and vile.
Hot-blooded violence IS a social norm and one to be deplored, one we should strive to master in ourselves and stop in others. Planned violence executed in cold blood is horrific in any shape or form.
I can only think you reacted to my last comment, that women are becoming psychotic. JMO but that opinion is based on the all-too-average modern woman drinking harder, getting more aggressive, and behaving worse, than the average bloke has always done, then trying to play the poor-little-me gender card when pulled up sharply. Women are contestants, or victims, but can't switch from one to the other to suit circumstances. Some time they (we) will have to come to grips with that. This paragraph is not relevant to the blog topic and may not be relevant to you if I misunderstood what point you were making from what I said.
If you were literally just asking my opinion on something that you've been thinking about, okay, gave it already. No. Ignore the rest, just a misunderstanding
Has that started another debate? I'll defend any point I made, even if it is cherry-picked and out of context, but can't be arsed to go into the realms of what others think I think because I think you'll find I wasn't thinking that at all. I think.

What do you understand the word 'psychotic' to mean?
events were stated about the same.
how ever; the article i read said the woman would be charged with attempted murder AND that the investigation was still ongoing.
the involvement with a 15 year old girl by the husband was not confirmed but alleged in the article.
some comments made were noted in social media including a few women asking if the involvement with a 15 year old girl was made up, as an excuse to hurt her husband.
still more to the story yet to be confirmed if it's continued with.
i still wonder why such things make the news at all. had some charges been brought that included the minor lady in question, seems to me the father of the girl would be the first to know and act.
all goofed up and weird no matter what.
Read it again. Slowly. How DARE you suggest I approve, or think women should be sliced and diced as well?
What do you understand the word 'psychotic' to mean?
Psychotic disorders are a group of serious illnesses that affect the mind and make it hard for someone to think clearly, make good judgments, respond emotionally, communicate effectively, understand reality, and behave appropriately. .
Skip my comments when you see them, as I skip yours. No need ever to interact.
Cutting up people as revenge is premeditated and should land you in prison forever.
It is torture, attempt to murder, revenge, whatever.
she can claim whatever she wants. they neighbours told her, she guessed,
It is trial without court, she didn't seek help, she didn't confront, ....
If i check his state.
adultery, i don't care, it is not a crime, humans have sex, this is a breach of contract,
I don't approve of it, but you can't repair virginity or exclusivity.
It is an economical loss in a sense, not sure if a court can quantify it.
Sx with a 15year old.
15 year old can have sx.
It depends on maturity, power issues, age gap, knowledge, .... if it gets criminal for me.
I don't get close to such situation.
It is not a blurred line, but pimping is a crime that should be punished a lot more severe.
Even if it was rpe, an emotional stabbing is less worse than a planned torture and mutilation.
I'm just happy it wasn't my family member.
I assumed you would never say those things about women, ergo they are equally egregious and reprehensible things to say about men.
That was the whole point of swapping the gender in that scenario. It's a useful technique for examining discrimination, gender, or otherwise.
Women don't become mentally unwell with a psychotic symptoms because they treat men with contempt whilst men try to placate and soothe them. That's just an unhealthy interaction, or unhealthy relationship, not the cause of hallucinations, or delusions.
The only person you can control here is yourself.
The only rabid one here is the one always looking for more replies to her idiotic comments. Hence you will note that each and every comment will always have some or other question in the hope of a reply. Some beaches are totally reliant on a 'reply' fix, even if she is making a fool out of herself. Must be living a helluva lonely boring life.
My comment is directed to me myself so no need for any sort of a reply.
Just like to see my own words.

Your always one of the funny ones
And always struck me as a sane and rational person.

It's a question that is asked for dramatic effect or to make a point.
An answer is not expected, nor necessarily wanted.
An example of a rhetorical question might be, "Do you have to chew with your mouth open?"
Or:
Should attempting to control all women's behaviour s*xual through the threat of gross violence be a social norm?
You cannot end abuse by abusing someone. You merely join in with and perpetuate abuse. You become the abuser, the person you despise.
It is entirely within your control whether you respond to to one of my posts, or rhetorical questions, or not. In fact, it's entirely within your control whether you even read my comments.
Yet you choose to read and respond.
And your contempt isn't really about me.
"...are we near a full moon?" is a question. It does require a question mark.
I hope this helps with your comprehension, but maybe you also understand all too well.
You really do need to get a life .
Take that as a statement of fact
It has been brought to my attention that this comment may as been taken the wrong way as it was only directed at as Luke identified the 1 who posts questions and statements only to receive more of the same
My apologies to any and all who may have misunderstood or who I mislead
