Do real men read profiles?

OK, So I have been on here for a few weeks.. I have this question. Do real mean read profiles? It is just me or are the scams more than usual here? Come on guys if you are real and want us to respond....PLEASE say something about our profiles to know you really read them.. If not.. then you get deleted, without a response.. Do all you ladies agree??

yes we read your profiles befor we decide to send an email or a flower and if you post a blog we do have a look now and then at your profile to see if we are in your age range

I get that too sometimes. I think that most of them are sincere. A lot of them are testing the waters...not really sure if they may be waisting their time. They think that you may not even respond at all so they keep it short and simple.

Just my opinion.

The question should be do you read your profile after you write it (men or woman). Last night I came across a profile of a female who was looking for a talk/email/pen pal. I had the same interests (proof I read her profile) as her so I decided lets try just finding a friend to talk to. I wrote her a note stating lets be pen pals, someone to talk to, she wrote me back and said I was separated and not divorced so she wasn't interested. Did I miss something? I can't be a pen pal because I am separated

?

So yes I read profiles, do you even read your own? This is to all, male and female.

When you see "Mailbox" lit up, there's a moment of anticipation ... who could it be? Someone new and fresh hopefully... someone I'd like to know.

Lots of good advice already given but I'll add my 2 cents.

If the message doesn't mention anything from your profile, whether they are real or not, there was minimal effort put in. I'm not looking for someone who approaches me (or anything of consequence in life) with minimal effort.

2 possible responses ... none at all ... or a simple 'Please read my profile and try again' ...

I think they look at the pic the most. Women, I think, are different. First I look at the pic. Then I look at age. OK what is he looking for? See if we match in that we are both looking for the same thing. How does his profile sound? Does he seem interesting, honest or witty?

ARE YOU KIDDING. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PROFILES I HAVE RESPONDED TO. I RECEIVE NO CONTACT IN RETURN. I GUESS THIS MAY BE TYPICAL. I DON'T KNOW BECAUSE THIS IS A FIRST TO JOIN. THERE ARE MANY INTERESTING FEMALES BY PROFILE ON THIS SITE. WHY THERE IS NO RESPONSE I'M NOT SURE. MANY LABELED LONELY, LOOKING, WAITING, ETC...ME I AM LOOKING FOR FRIENDSHIP BEFORE THE THOUGHT OF RELATIONSHIP. BUT I SEND NOTIFICATION OF INTEREST BUT THERE IS NO RETURN. I AM A DOWN TO EARTH GUY SO WHY NO RETURN. I THINK IT IS BECAUSE OF HOW CORPORATE ABOVE TAKES TIME SCREENING THE NEW INCOMING ACCOUNTS. @Trail1: Friendly advice... turn off your Caps Lock. It makes you 'sound' loud/anxious and makes your words harder to read. Perception is important.

A lot of these men on here have the attention span of kids so if your profile pic doesn't grab they're attention then they won't bother to read about u. Truth be told, these men are perhaps passing over potentially good, sincere and compatible women! Its their loss though, what else can I say??

well now i can see from this forum why i have troubles..
while i do read profiles all the way through. my into will need work...
i am one of those that opens with hi or evening... things i would normally open with when i talk to someone face to face.
