Another waisted pair of heels

Girls have you ever felt as though you just go way too much out of your way to try to look great for a first date when it will probably be a let down anyway??

I mean you spend an hour or maybe more making sure that your hair is perfect , picking out just the right outfit to wear.....ect and then when you get there, you realize there is absolutely NO WAY you will be the least bit interested in this guy

or just as bad is when he shows up with a 5 o clock shadow , wearing old blue jeans and a work shirt....feeling a bit overdressed??

Well, from now on I am going to show up in sweats , bed head hair , plop my feet on the table, wipe my nose with my hand and say : "hey hows it going?"

Lana, I have read several of your blogs on this and related subjects . The only conclusion I can come to is " What the hell is the matter with the men There ". If I had a date with you I would at least be presentable . I do belive that you only get one chance at a first impression .I also would try to be as presentable as I could ( polite, atentive, pleasent , etc.). I will admit that I'm from another generation, however I can't see things being that different now. Perhaps you should try more out of state or even out of country exploration .

Perhaps its just the Michigan men as Swiss always says ....something in the air? I have heard that men don't really want to be "formal" anymore" casual is in formal and "dressy" is out ??

Don't know.

Whatever the case the first date COULD turn out to be the last one day and how do you want to remember it? Thats the way I see it anyway.

I never did like heels, I usually don't look at a persons feet and from what I can gather, heels are brutal to wear.

Sweats and sneakers :) The only way to go lol

Of course a person wants to look good for a date, that's normal. You don't have to overdo it however, it is only a date afterall. Besides, if its "real," it won't matter how a person is dressed.

I hear ya! I sometimes ask what we're doing & if they don't tell me I dress casual but look nice yet comfortable. Plus there are some cute sweats out there.

If you dress up for a date do it because it makes you feel good and not to impress someone. I don't mean go to date looking untidy but basically feel comfortable in what you are wearing whether it's smart casual or being dressed up. I prefer smart casual and I don't wear heels.

and btw... when a woman doesn't "like" a guy, she finds a ton of excuses... the hair, the clothes bla bla:P What i mean is that if u liked him u wouldn't be interested in his outfit at all:P
