Southern man
I met my good friend who I haven't hung out with for a while today for lunch and she was glowing...haven't seen her that happy in years so I asked her what was new? She said that she has met someone special. You see she like me has been divorced for about 4 years now and has been dating the past two years ....she has so much to offer the right guy but has not had much luck finding the right one. This week however had been different she said.
She has met a man who she said is different than any guy she has ever dated. I asked her to explain. She said: "He is from the south where it is still ok to be nice to your date." I had to laugh at hearing this. I had never heard this before.
She told me that he was a true southern gentleman. He brought her roses a picnic basket filled with her favorite foods, home made pecan fudge that he made from scratch (is he kidding?) fruit, cheese , wine....he even gave her a long massage. Unbelievable
I said are you kidding? She said "No! This was the best date that I have ever been on in my life." and she went on to say "He is not the best looking guy in the world but his personality makes up for everything! He is incredible!" She said that he was just so genuinely nice and considerate that it blew her away.
I was really happy for her and I could tell that she is , finally happy. She does deserve it.
Southern charm~ Southern hospitality......is there something to that, really? I wonder.

... please tell her to include a good variety of fresh fish and shellfish and above anything else, plenty of lager in the mentioned basket.... Thanks.
They would be called "southern Bells."
Ah yes, southern New Zealand men
didn't have a clue of the name ("southern Bells") ... but that certainly is secondary to the basket! (<- for the basket)
Southern comfort is a different story
Frank,
Take your shoes off ...set a spell
....and I'd love 'at!!
She did meet him online but on another site....I am getting the name of it
I personally will take a genuinely, nice, sincere personality over great looks any day!
There does have to be some sort of physical attraction to some degree but you know what they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" what is attractive can mean something different to everyone and hey, if he is overweight that can be changed but a man's character remains unchanged forever....
I will email you
Agree Montecito and sadly it's lacking!
